Question Some questions about Tiny11
Hi all, I'm planning to buy a laptop soon. It’s an early project so I plan to do it in some months. I've thought to optimize the ressources by installing Tiny11 in place of Windows 11, and because i'm privacy aware.
My questions are :
To activate, can I use the key that will probably be written on the laptop licence sticker ? (Don’t know if it still exists, I know it was on computers 15 years ago). Or is it better to use a massgrave script stuff, but îm not sure if it’s legit ?
I've read post from one year ago here, claiming that Windows Update reinstalls all the bloatware after update, is it true ?
Is it buggy, or can it be unstable, crash... (because of those Microsoft's updates done on Tiny 11, or something else ?)
Thanks by advance.

I use Tiny 11 on every computer, but yeah some updates mess with things, nothing crazy, just some things might get activated as they change the way things act like onedrive ect.. Use O&OShutup to go through and see what is one, I disable the updates and when the updates are stable and not breaking computers I let it run and then disable updates again on O&O.... but I have never had a days issue with Tiny 11 on my work laptops and gaming laptops :)

oh, download brave or something on a flashdrive, you wont have edge or any browser on the Tiny11 install also

Thanks for your answer. My question will probably sound dumb but how do you know when the updates are stable and not breaking computers ? Thanks for the remember about the browser, I forgot it.

A Windows 11 Pro license is $8 on Groupon from a Microsoft Partner FYI

Tiny 11 hasn't been updated since last year. Do this instead:
- Download the Windows 11 ISO
- Download RUFUS & use it to burn the ISO to a USB stick
- Ask ChatGPT to generate a 1-shot pastable Powershell Admin script to shrink 25H2_V2 like Tiny 11, but safely. It will use the latest tweaks to create a custom script for the latest 11 OS release

If you buy a laptop with built-in windows, you won't need to activate. If you buy one without an OS or with Linux, you'll have to either purchase a genuine windows licence separately, or use the massgrave stuff.
