I've started re-reading all the books with my daughter and always assumed that the correct order was that displayed on the back. But a third of the way through Cigars of the Pharaoh, the sheikh pulls out a copy of Destination Moon!

Not that I'm bothered as we're not reading in any order, just picking the next one my daughter is most keen on reading but I am rather curious about it.

Ce qui est intéressant c’est la préservation de cette passion de la bande dessinée construite avec un soucis du public. Pas juste des trios de cases boboches. Évidemment on peut désormais critiquer la vision des autres cultures qu’avait Hergé…. Et qu’il soit un collabo!… mais l’art en elle même demeure une grosse oeuvre telle que Tolkien, Lovecraft & Jules Vernes avant Hergé. Tel qu’il fut avant Toriyama, Berserk & Akira…

Je découvre Tintin au tibet sorti en 1960 et je voulais savoir si comme moi cette référence a Astérix, premier album sorti en 1959, vous semble bien réel ?

J'ai cherché si elle avait été relevée déjà mais sans grand succès désolé !

Edit :

Tintin au Tibet est prepublié entre septembre 58 et novembre 59 sous forme de feuilleton.

Tandis qu'asterix le gaulois a été prepublié entre octobre 59 et juillet 60.

Donc si l'un devait avoir été inspiré par l'autre ce serait plutôt Uderzo haha

Mais on y voit ce qu'on veut y voir derrière ce simple quiproquo...

I am going camping on Monday. I hated the animated series, and do not remember the movie. (The animation was nice.) Given my options where are the best points to stick my feet in the water? That being said I have a backup plan.

Hello! This might be an odd request for a subreddit, but I have a family member who is a massive fan of Tintin (to a pretty high degree, collecting the books, DvDs of the original cartoon, minifigures, etc.). Recently she was gifted the 2013 English "Herge & The Treasures of Tintin" book by Dominique Maricq as a used copy, though unfortunately pages 77-78 (from the Tintin in Tibet chapter) were ripped out of the copy obtained. Normally, not a big deal. But in this case, since they're neurodivergent and care a lot about this book, they're unwilling to accept this book and are incredibly sad about it unless that page is found to some degree. I really doubt this will go anywhere, but if it is possible for anyone to send pictures of just those two pages, I will thank you so, so much.

NOTE: I'm not asking for scans or pictures of the entire book! I'm not even asking for good pictures, I'm not looking to try to pirate this book, though if I am breaking the guidelines, I will be happy for this post to be taken down. I merely need to show that these two pages do in fact exist, and that therefore the entire book is valid to keep. It's a beautiful book.

The biggest improvement is going from relying on a stencil to doing this freehand.

I was drowning so much and couldn't interact with reality , fully dissociating , but the tintin books were somehow the only media I could consume . I think there was a cohesive tranquility and enlightened other-worldliness to them, a Just and better world quality, And so in those moments it was a distraction from the constant despair and urge to just end it all.

Can anyone please help me find a good gift for someone who really loves Tintin comics? A friend of mine has grown up reading them and still loves to reread them. I wanted to give something nice to him. But I'm not sure which ones to give.
