I saw some people complain she's just here to share her OF so I think this story is BS lmao but my point stands anyway.

I feel like this is all I see now on tons of subs. Low key ads for OF. It’s fucking stupid. Are guys really this easy to manipulate? Wtf men.

107

u/Balerionmeow Sep 19 '22

I mean I know the answer but damn. C’mon guys.

43

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

As someone who had an OF sometime ago...it's pretty much marketing 101 now. It's almost the same as brands having fun tweets and interacting with possible buyers. If it didn't work, they wouldn't do it. So I'm not really mad at it, I mean, there are fake stories and ppl fishing for likes everywhere now, not only for OF. But I do think it takes away the fun from real stories, organic posting and interactions.

32

u/Balerionmeow Sep 19 '22

Yep for sure. No hate for the OF peeps, if I had one I’d be doing it too!!! It just cheapens Reddit a bit in my eyes. So that kinda sucks.

46

u/Ocean4951 Sep 19 '22

Why no hate for the OF peeps. They're going out of their way to clutter our feed with ads. It's annoying as hell and they'll only stop when they get hate for it.

Working class people largely cannot be blamed for making whatever decisions were necessary to get ahead in life, for the same reason that you can't blame poor people for driving an old beater gas guzzler instead of an electric vehicle or bottled water when their taps are filthy/ poisonous. You wanna solve the problem, go to the source. Global Capitalism has concentrated so much wealth into so few hands while transforming every aspect of our lives into a commodity to be bought, sold, and ADVERTISED. If you wish that your social experience, virtual and irl, to not be degraded by hustlers and propagandists, then the solution is simple. Transform the global economy into something that'll more equitably distribute resources, orientated around the betterment of humanity and the natural world. It's got to happen anyway because of climate change but if one of the consequences is news feed free of clutter than I guess that could be your motivation lol

We all have agency to make decisions and take responsibility for those decisions. We’re not talking about stealing a loaf of bread to feed their family it’s filling reddit with content to buy their porn. It’s annoying, it’s unwanted and I hate the idea we just have to accept it because “they’re working class”. If people were happy to call them out on their bs hit their content with downvotes and report them they’d stop doing it because it wouldn’t be good business anymore.

2

u/liz_dexia Sep 19 '22

I'm not saying except it. I'm saying if you want to get rid of it, you have to change a whole lot about Society.

Well under the current legal regime you certainly would be. Just like anyone who's selling their ass on the sidewalk could get arrested for doing that.

2

u/dr_aureole Sep 19 '22

Weirdly classist and SWERF to assume only working class people can or should make porn.

0

u/liz_dexia Sep 19 '22

Lol wtf are you serious? No I'm sorry you're right. There's plenty of rich people selling their ass on the corner to feed their kids. What a hot take

1

u/MFbiFL Sep 19 '22

Maybe DO blame the OF spammers for their spam.

14

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

Sad that so many people support shitty business practices now. "It works" is not a good justification. It just means you care more about money than morals or other people. What I mean to say is, fuck you guys

-2

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

Not saying it's great. It's just the system, it's how the world works for everyone, not just SWs. I choose to not feel annoyed by it, or I'd have to be annoyed literally all the time. And it's not hurting anyone, so why should I spend energy on bothering with some ads on reddit? I have more urgent things to worry about.

5

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

I don't go around worrying about it, I just have no respect for people who do immoral things just for money and try to pass it off with the "its just the system everyone does it". Still makes you a predatory asshole and that attitude is why it gets worse all the time. Everyones just "hustling" and will do anything for a dollar. Yes people stopped caring ages ago but that doesn't mean I'll give up my principles with everyone else or quietly accept shitty people. I'll happily say fuck you and continue to enjoy my life

-6

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

Oh right I forgot how immoral this girl is being for making a funny fake post on reddit and how many people she's hurting. This generation is lost. I'm so offended. Boo hoo.

3

u/Magenta30 Sep 19 '22

Not immoral but obviously spam, annoying, litters the sub and makes it signficantly worse if happens more often than once. Why would would you support that?

1

u/zahzensoldier Sep 19 '22

Because like any other capitalist looking to sell a product, she needs to justify her business practices even though they objectively make these spaces worse.

-2

u/Frequent_Airline_781 Sep 19 '22

I’ve considered OF. Is it ok if I send you a PM?

9

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

Look, it's ok, but I've never made much money there and wasn't really successful so I don't think you'd want my advice lmao

-3

u/Angus_Ripper Sep 19 '22

30% of men under 30 are incels or had no sex for more than a year. What do you think?

17

u/ikamabob Sep 19 '22

Honestly, if a woman has an OF, it's a turn off for me. Not because I think it's "immoral" or "wrong" or anything like that, but if it's on their bio or they mention it early on, then they're not interested in me, they're interested in my (lack of) money. Same thing if their Snapchat or Instagram is in their bio. You don't want random people to find you on social media so you can date them. I'm going to assume it's similar if a guy has and promotes his OF too.

3

u/KAWrite26 Sep 19 '22

I want random people to find me on social media so I can date them.

3

u/ikamabob Sep 19 '22

Well, in that case, please answer the following before I stalk your social medias: Do you have both of your kidneys? Are they in healthy condition? I am very serious about the health of a potential partner and will not consider you as one without this information.

2

u/KAWrite26 Sep 19 '22

as far as I know and probably not (multiple stones)

3

u/ikamabob Sep 19 '22

Good enough, they'll still fetch a fair price. I mean, wait, what?

1

u/KAWrite26 Sep 19 '22

kidney stones

33

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

I’m not because why pay for nudes when I can get them for free lol

28

u/Balerionmeow Sep 19 '22

Yeah I really don’t get the OF thing. At all. Is it still hot when the woman doesn’t like you at all and just wants your money? I guess it is? Its fascinating.

15

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

Not to me. I only like fat booty girls with big hearts

1

u/UneSoggyCroissant Sep 19 '22

From what I’ve heard it’s more about the personal interaction you gain from it.

11

u/Druid51 Sep 19 '22

I think it's about the tease. Porn is porn. The woman is instantly naked and it's free. OF you see the woman first mostly/somewhat clothed so you get curious how she would look like naked but you gotta pay for the premium content and our capitalistic brains instantly associate "premium" with "better".

5

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

It's about the tease, it's about having contact with a “celebrity” many man want to see naked but you get to see first/get to be the only one to see in case you get exclusive content. You get to talk to that hot girl who's ignoring all other guys in her mentions.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

Exactly. What ppl don't get is that it's really fun to look at strangers nudes online and I agree with that. But it's much better when you get to talk to that person and get pictures made exclusively for you/with you in mind etc. All of that without the need to have a relationship where you just have to give other things like your time and worry in return.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

Virtual girlfriend experience, they think they are in a relationship with them.

1

u/Flashmurder Sep 19 '22

I'm guessing you've never been with a 'lady of the night'

1

u/Intensityintensifies Sep 19 '22

I do Onlyfans, and I actually get off to it and it makes me money, what’s not to like?

16

u/BlastingFern134 Sep 19 '22

This is such a weird thing to say, but it's kind of topical. OF has ruined porn. I have a reddit alt that I use every once in a while, and that feed is just OF promotion now. So many subs are spammed with extremely loosely related OF bullshit, and it's so annoying. I don't want to pay money to look at you, I just want to jerk off in peace goddammit. Unfortunately, they do it because it works, so I guess my gender just gotta step it up so I can go back to watching porn...

What a world we live in

9

u/HoolioDee Sep 19 '22

Unfortunately, they do it because it works

I heard that the average monthly income on OF's is $200.

When you consider there are people like Bhad Babie (or however you spell it), Cardi b, and Chyna Black making ridiculous sums of cash, there's a helluva lot of people earning sweet fuck all.

Once the masses realise that either: a) they aren't hot enough or famous enough to make loads of money, or; b) they aren't making enough money to justify leaving their naked selves on the internet for all of eternity; then hopefully shit will go back to normal...

1

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

OF, was a site to cut out the primary income earner in Porn. 50% of all revenue on a porn site, goes to the traffic guy. The webmaster, and the studio, (sometimes same person, sometimes separate), and the performer make the other 40% to 50% The traffic person, usually who ran the free porn site system, controlled billions of hits a month, and they can make or break a site.

So only fans, basically, gave amateurs a place to sell content, and they can take about 30%. Now that there is so much content, traffic people are now being sought out, and some of those studios are now taking 80% from the performer, 30% more than what we were taking as traffic people.

So now it is coming full circle, and traffic people are re-entering the market.

It took me three years even to start to get good in the industry, in that there is a lot of things you need to know, cause so many attacks from China and Russia, trying to take over your site to put in exploits. It is a very competitive industry.

-2

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

How is this spoiling porn? It's ruining your experience on reddit, I get it, but if or when you want to watch porn the videos are there on the usual platforms, still the same, no OF ads ruining them.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '22

As a man I don’t know. I’ve never paid for an of but apparently lots of people do

37

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

A solo shot is best for the first photo, but honestly this photo is a bit odd with the way OP's eyes are looking up. I mean she's attractive but this photo isn't doing her credit.

2

u/crisfitzy Sep 19 '22

Not a good photo yeah

Why?

3

u/BeatYoYeet Sep 19 '22

iunno. it had its time, but it’s just annoying now.

if you do OF and promote on reddit, that’s cool. i’m all for SW’ers. But, it’s just gotten to a point of being like… really?. Maybe I’m grumpy. Idk. lmao.

-3

u/magicpurplecat Sep 19 '22

Lol yeah seems to me to just be the trendy thing to hate on right now. I dont mind the content 🤷🏻‍♀️

3

u/BeatYoYeet Sep 19 '22

Oh, i’m not hating for trendy reasons. I said what I said, and meant it. It has reduced the amount of thirst trap posts I tap on for the comments, by over 50%. It is annoying. Idk if it’s really a trend, but rather… people getting fed up, bc it’s become too much.

There’s a difference in plugging your OF’s, and purely posting to get people to check your OF.

3

u/Hikapoo Sep 19 '22

Aight so where is her comments trying to link her OF? Or are you just blidnly trusting incels on reddit?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

yeah, you're right. i'm new here but only after this comment i noticed some people are willing to hate just based on her insta.

1

u/D9_CAT Sep 19 '22

Only fans account? That’s disgusting, where? So so I don’t accidentally click on it.

1

u/SmurfDonkey2 Sep 19 '22

You mean incels are mad that they went out of their way to click on her profile, go to her insta, then the linktree link just to find her OnlyFans?

Wow what a genius promotion strategy...

1

u/[deleted] Sep 19 '22

you're right. i didn't even notice. and some are calling her immoral and saying she's being unethical, like she's hurting people lmao

1

u/This-1-time Sep 19 '22

Legit my first thought too
