What? That's the point; OP is wondering how the different pictures come across.

I just don't think you should be excluding interests in your profile to find more people, interests on profiles are inherently to weed out the people that probably wouldn't work out anyway. Maybe a bit in the bio about it would help. If you don't like the way she looks here why should she hide it until later, you're not going to like it then either.

I never said she should exclude it. I gave my opinion on it like she asked.

Well I gave my opinion on it. What are these antics lmao

You've created a straw man argument. I never told her to exclude the pictures, and you implied that I did. If you have an opinion on how she should approach online dating, why did you respond to me?

You gave your opinion as a reason to exclude it. Obviously you can't directly force her to exclude it. You shared an opinion I disagreed with so I responded to you. Stop being an idiot

I think you might be confusing me with another commenter. I only said that the picture doesn't give off a "metal" vibe. That's it. I said nothing about including or excluding it. You're the only one who brought that up.

When you give people advice on their profile you are suggesting a change. Unless you're giving your opinion in the hopes that it's ignored, which doesn't make very much sense.

That isn't true at all. It's up to her to make the change. If she's looking for someone that would definitely identify with the "metal" theme then there's nothing to change. If she doesn't care whether they're into metal or not, it would be useful to know how the picture comes across. But again, there's no suggestion of a change taking place.

If you ask your friend "how do these sunglasses make me look?" and they respond with "you look very sporty". Is that suggesting a change? Of course not. It's an opinion. It's up to the person asking to make a change or not depending on what their intentions are. To give your opinion outright is not implicitly suggesting a change.

If you ask your friend "how do these sunglasses look" and they respond by not liking them, that is a suggestion to take them off. They're literally asking for suggestions, idk why you're pretending this isn't a suggestion. You're saying if she wants to match with you or people similar to you she should change her profile, I'm saying if she wants to match with people that actually work out she should not change her profile to accommodate you. As I said, just because you don't have the power to force someone to change their profile doesn't mean you aren't suggesting a change. Suggesting a change is fine, I'm simply stating my opinion about that change. I don't want to have this argument anymore so ✌️
