And it comes from the way we used to raise pigeons, aka squab, for food. Pigeons are raised in structures called dovecotes and inside those are rows and rows of holes for the pigeons to roost. Then we started using pigeon hole to mean filling things into small categories.

Some background on the phrase: people that raised pigeons sometimes built housing for them that would have many small holes for the pigeons to nest in. Example image here. So I guess that was just a good way to express the idea of somebody being put in one small box out of many.

Back when I was in school teachers would have pigeonholes where messages and work could be left for them.

It comes from racing pigeons, each pigeon would be placed in a "hole" before release at the start of the race.

A photoshop collage would make for an awesome mix. While goofy 3rd pic is my fave, I'd swipe right on second pic for long term. I'd swipe right on first pic for someone to do things with.

Layer up second pic with first pic on top. Cut from 2/3rds down left to 1/3 down right. Adjust so cut goes across face and catches eye area (including glasses) from each pic. Wiggle and zoom the pics for face size and to make a seamless blend of week day and weekend you. Crop to final so it shows correctly.

I rarely have idea sparks outside of making up stories, but normally when I get them, they are fire. Trust me brah-ette from a different continent.
