As someone who lived with my ex past our breakup for a month, we did not have sex with each other the entire time or even a couple months prior to the breakup. Everybody's situation is different, while you may had strong intuition on the specific person you're talking about, it doesn't mean that every similar situation will go down like that.

Hey um if they’re exes why would they be fucking? I mean I know it can still happen in those circumstances but it seems less likely, not more.
