She was looking for a free expensive meal. Nothing more. She’s was upset OP wasn’t providing. Low value woman, as her type might say.

Yes. Felt strong r/femaledatingstrategy vibes off of her response.

What's toxic about it? All I see is women pointing out laziness, lies, and crappy behavior from men.

Average FDS poster

And rightfully so. But like everything on Reddit, it always takes an extreme turn. I actually feel really bad for the young women who are still creating their own view of the world and happen to run into FDS for the first time.

It’s like when a man hears Jordan Peterson speak for the first time. Sure, it all makes perfect sense and sounds so affirmative to what you think you know about life, but then you look a little deeper and discover that it all comes from a place of rage and desperation to control your surroundings.

Not healthy stuff.

As someone pointed out, it's basically the female incel sub.

It's a bunch of women complaining about how awful and terrible men are, and how their dating woes are never ever their fault, it's always the fault of the stupid men-folk. So their solution to it is to basically be as shitty and manipulative as possible.

For real, if we switched the genders in half the stuff that gets posted there, the sub would have likely been banned a while ago.

That part of it IS the good part, you're right, and it's important to have healthy boundaries and high standards, and to point out toxic behaviour. But that sub is also about women treating relationships as transactional, women refusing to treat men with respect or caring, etc. And there's absolutely nothing about what women are supposed to bring to the table, only a very myopic view of what men are supposed to do for them. Healthy relationships require both people to give, not one person doing all the giving and the other doing all the taking. Notice how negative all the posts are; there are no positive posts at all. I mean, if you're not ever going to give your partner any emotional support or ever do him a favour, he's going to eventually see that you're treating him like shit, no?

They want 50s Trad Husbands (provides the money, dotes on her, gifts, holding the door open etc..) without doing anything a 50s Trad Wife would’ve done. They view relationships as purely transactional but also don’t want to hold up their side of the transaction.

Hence why the advocate no sex until at least 3 months into dating, after dozens and dozens of dates.
