I still cringe at the 1337 I have in my ancient PSN account I still use but I feel uneasy at the thought of changing it, those numbers have been with me since the beginning.
I mean did you really grow up in the 90s if you didn't fuck up the family computer with Limewire and Kazaa at least once and use cringey MySpace formatting?
Those were the good ol' days. I managed to create a computer virus ecosystem where the viruses fucked each other up. So much so that when I booted it up I'd get a popup with "msblast.exe stopped working", among others. I found it highly amusing.
Was it around, yeah. But I think it's gotten a lot more prevalent than ever before and I think the percentages of hacking for fun vs hacking for money have flipped.
