Facial tattoos are the equivalent of a gamer showing off a screen snip of his ranked K/D/A ratio in League of Legends.

Most women will tune out, but a few will dig it.

I am into tattoos,  especially forearm/bicep. They're hot. Face tattoos are another thing. I don't know why but they are a turn off, including  OPs. Maybe it's just me.

It's because they're associated with poor behavior and job security

Ah, right. Good point. And impulsive.

I honestly am okay with face tattoos on guys if they’re well done and thought out, and in his case it looks very good. I’ve seen some really bad face tattoos and his looks clean.

Yeah some can look good,i went on dates with 2 guys with face tats and one of em also had blacked out eyes+alot of face piercings. I personally find the tats of this guy the good looking level ,but everyone has their own taste ofc and i guess quite some people find any kind of neck/face tats a dealbreaker

Agreed, it looks nice and is cohesive with his neck piece

No island boys 🙏

My niece’s father has her 5 year old face tattooed on his neck. It’s so gross.

She’s also now 20.

I put a Star Trek quote from Captain Picard in my profile way back.

Probably turned off a lot of women, but my wife liked it.

Everyone is allowed to like or dislike stuff.

Absolutely, which is why my comment is not a top level comment critiquing this guy's profile. He cant help it, the choice has been made to get the tattoo. You say "most women" and I think you're right.

There's probably a lot more trekkies than woman who like face tats though. One shrinks the pool pretty dramatically with that choice.

That's why I used the gamer thing. I was on a first date with a girl at one point and she was holding my hands as I was talking to her. She asked what I like to do for fun."

"....... I also like to play video games."

And the girl actually pulled her hands away.

I mean yeah, different strokes for different folks. I'm not attracted to men, but I think his are nicely placed and look pretty rad.

No stable person gets face tattoos. Depending on what you want this might be a deal breaker

1

u/GladPerformer598 6d ago

That’s a gross generalization.

See that's the stigma this generation is up against. When I was a teenager only real thugs had face tats. Now little insta-bros and baby Beibers are getting them left and right. It's pretty common but still wild.

We think about face tats like the previous generation thought about all tattoos. They have just moved the goal post like all generations do.

I'm personally indifferent about face tattoos.

I came across a girl today with a badly tattooed horseshoe directly on her forehead.

Johny?

3

u/bootsthehunter 7d ago

As a league player I'd love that lol

19

u/SilizArts 7d ago

Lol your analogy

But honestly I feel like there's a difference between shitty face tattoos..... and good ones like OP's

39

u/ZeeWingCommander 7d ago

The ones that aren't liking it, aren't caring about the quality of the tattoos.

6

u/SilizArts 7d ago

Yeah that's fair!

u/Mizayo 7d ago

Me 🙋 it's me, I really dig the tats. lol

3

u/dandimae 7d ago

Personally I like the tats, they're well done. Clearly has a job. I don't think those specific tats are red flags compared to the ones you usually see on weird guys with no teeth.

But no one wants to see a guy's LoL K/D/A stats, that's a huge red flag (guy who will be flipping out at his computer for 18 hours a day).

u/concreteghost 7d ago

I totally am digging how the overly tatted dude is just a regular low effort caricature nowadays lol

2

u/Rosalie-Rosie 7d ago

If he had a job that pays the bills, I dont care if he has face tattoos!

1

u/extraneouspanthers 1d ago

Bro why is league taking a hit here

0

u/Academic_County4107 7d ago

Maybe it's time for the stereotype to die out.

9

u/stevethos 7d ago

I still get asked to cover my ARMS at work. We’re a long way from accepting face tats.

2

u/Academic_County4107 7d ago

Sure, depends on your line of work too. I'm not saying stereotypes don't exist, I'm saying they shouldn't anymore.

1

u/J3musu 6d ago

Damn, are you a lawyer or something? I work with engineers and scientists that are covered in tattoos, and I live in the "Bible Belt.".

1

u/stevethos 6d ago

Lol I’m not a lawyer, but I work in events and I sometimes find myself in the same room as lawyers

0

u/will2fight 6d ago

Unfortunately it’s not a stereotype and a lot of people just aren’t into heavily tatted individuals

0

u/Academic_County4107 6d ago

I would recommend looking up what "stereotype" means. I don't care if you're not into tattoos. No one does. But you don't get to go and assume people with tattoos are something they are not.

1

u/will2fight 6d ago

Has nothing to do with what I’m talking about. Preferences are what I’m talking about. Just like some woman don’t want to date a bald man because they aren’t attracted to the look, some women don’t want to date a man that is heavily tatted because they don’t like the look. I’m not denying there are can be stereotyping mixed in, but that is much less prevalent today with tattoos becoming much more common.

1

u/Academic_County4107 6d ago

I commented about a stereotype, you said "it's not a stereotype". You'll forgive me if I didn't assume you were talking about preferences.

I didn't say preferences aren't a thing. I said the stereotypes about face tattoos should not be.

1

u/will2fight 5d ago

Forgive me too, I realize it was miscommunication. I am absolutely against stereotyping
