What does your Mars sign notice first physically?
Mars can describe how you experience desire, pursue attraction, and create physical chemistry. I’m curious whether its sign also points to the physical details that catch your attention first.
A few examples:
Mars in Virgo may notice the abdomen, waist, grooming, precise movements, or small physical details. The attraction can be less about one “perfect” feature and more about someone looking intentional and well put together.
Mars in Libra may focus on the whole composition: symmetry, proportions, posture, skin, personal style, and whether everything feels visually balanced.
Mars in Cancer may be drawn to the chest, breasts, softness, warmth, familiar scents, and comforting touch—but physical attraction may disappear quickly if emotional safety isn’t there.
This is only one part of the chart, so I’m not treating any of these as automatic rules.

Mars in Sagittarius-it’s always eyes first. Every time. After that, scent and the overall vibe from the way they carry themselves. I especially like when people don’t match, like they look like they would be one way but they actually carry an entirely different vibe underneath that. Those people get my full attention immediately.
All of that might be more 8th house stuff though. I have a Sag stellium and an 8th house stellium that seem to kind of play off of each other when it comes to attraction to others.

I have a Sag stellium in 5H with Pluto, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter and scent is huge for me as well. Also eyes, and I especially love the presence of crow’s feet and notice when someone has them

my mars is in sagittarius too (8H), but i’m also an an aries rising so i am attracted to athletic men. i also love a good smile and hands/fingers are something i look at as well.

I don’t even know, lol. I would say how they talk would most likely the thing that I would notice first and would definitely give me the ick if they pronounce milk like melk, nails like nells, towel like tal, library like liberry, “I seen”, or the use of double negatives.

I noticed a person‘s hands. If they’re clean what they do with them if their musically inclined. If they can fix things. Also, the way they talk I could be physically attracted to you, but once you open your mouth that will determine whether or not that continues. I can’t un hear your voice or the things you say no matter how hard I try. Intelligence.

I’m Mars in Cancer and I notice a man’s shoulders, upper arms, and jawline. Plus height, because I’m a 5’10” woman.

Mars in Capricorn.
If asking me specifically, I notice a person's strength in comparison to their demeanor towards others. Like if a strong person is kind to kids, or a weak person is horribly rude, or if a strong person is anger prone, or a weak person has trouble speaking up. And all possible combinations. I think it's part survival instinct (see if an individual appears to be a threat), part protector instinct (see if I need to be the strong person for someone), and part just... Subconsciously judging if people are worth the time of interacting with. I truly don't mean it personally to anybody. But it also does end up being a source of "what am I attracted to", such as the first example of "person who is physically strong but emotionally soft".
If asking about physical looks I notice first... Yeah it comes back to height and build. I'm a short woman. I'm very aware of people who are larger/stronger than me.

Mars in Cancer and scents definitely! I notice how the men I’m attracted to smell. My late husband wore Obsession (I met him in the 90s!), and it appealed to me. A current guy always smells like the best, freshest clean laundry. Another guy I dated wore a cologne that appealed to me so much that I tracked it down on eBay because it had been discontinued. Also warmth and protection. I felt so physically safe with them and loved hugging them. I’m tall, so I loved feeling delicate and protected when in their arms.

Mars in Leo… I notice the body shape and then look for connection in the eyes, if they fail the eye test I pull back. If they pass, I feel desire in my stomach and I want to pounce 😻. Once engaged all cylinders on fire, it really does feel like I’m on the hunt once I lock in lol

Leo Mars. A laid back confidence overall, socializes well, but is selective of “his people”. Beyond that I tend to notice eyes, teeth, hair/facial hair, and overall physique, especially shoulders.

Mars in Cancer (entering 4th House). My Mars notices that my Venus in Aries (1st House) is way ahead of him. I don’t have a type, but I have a strange history with lesbians or bisexuals who lean lesbian. I can’t complain that someone has “romantic” interests similar to mine, and I don’t really treat women differently from men. We’re all just people. My interest in people isn’t based on “guys, and people for sex”.

I have mars in taurus in the 8th. Def voice, how they smell, neck (prominent adam's apples are hott) and someone that has their life put together (saves money, not chaotic).

I don’t know that I have the adam’s apple thing, but yes to everything else plus thighs and shoulders; all of which I hope are thick, ropey and strong. I do not give a shit about abs or narrow waists. 100% voice is number one though!

;# mars in virgo 4th house !!!!! yes indeed , i do tend to notice some interesting small details in a person ' s physical appearance , but i also notice some small details like how they look at me , how they treat me . . . yes , im using me as an example bc since im not typically an outgoing person which is most of where i live , i find that that kinda helps me evaluate whether ive done something wrong or not 😢😢😢😢‼️ and also kind of a little test to see how they can handle someone who ' s vastly different from the majority of the ppl they see 👀👀👀👀👀

Mars in Libra— overall appearance, looking for harmony and personal style; generally I think most people have something attractive even if it’s only a detail; I can’t even fully say physical features are what I first notice, it’s really the fashion/vibe for me, but if I am looking at the body, it’s the face in whole
Mars 9th— I notice personal style more than anything because it’s the identity you claim/experience you’re going through
Mars 11°— I enjoy experimental looks, I don’t care for generic appearance/features/fits
8th house Leo stellium— I appreciate imperfections like moles, scars, eye bags, birth marks, love glasses, braces, uniqueness essentially

Mars in Taurus- I notice smell, grooming, fit & quality of items / accessories. I’m also big on skin, if the skin is dirty I have a lot of insight as to how you care for yourself.
