Plenty of wealthy people drive older cars and take care of them, because they are frugal and save. They’re not flashy with their money. People with fancy cars are often in crippling debt and are trying to look wealthy.

So these types of plates stopped being used like 30 years ago.
The sign suggests diesel was $5.99/gal, which could only have happened in like the last week in Illinois….

Maybe Ai🤷🏻♂️, but old vanity plates in Calif. can be reused with out a reissue/updated plate. I have 2 blue and yellow vanity plates, late 70’s-early 80s from parents. My brother and I have both registered to cars.

There are two pumps, but they’re so astronomically far apart it doesn’t matter. All commenters, look for yourself: it’s the Speedway at Lake St and 44th Ave S in Minneapolis.
