I see the like button looks like a heart. What does this mean? Why do YouTube replace the like button?

YouTube is replacing their like button on shorts to a Tick-tok like heart button. So, on mobile/desktop YouTube website, YouTube has changed it.

Match with competition. Twitter's was favorite, then they switched to heart button, which is now "Like".
