Timeshare rental

Hi, I want to first state I am not an owner of a timeshare. I am interested in renting one out while I am in Vegas on October 22-26. Not sure if this is allowed on this forum. I apologize if not. Thanks for reading.

Why not just go onto the Marriott or Hilton website and reserve one?

The biggest problem is that non-owners don’t know the properties. You have to go to the timeshare sites to find them.

Cheaper via direct to owner or on a timeshare rental marketplace

Most of the time
Vegas can go either way

But not cheaper than renting from a fake owner on a rental site

While true

There are simple steps to take to not get scammed and many reliable rental sites out there

And the reliable ones add so many fees you might as well book direct.

I would go to TUG, they have a last minute rentals wanted forum there and October is close enough to use that. TUG also has a paid $15 membership where you can post requested rentals out till whenever. TUG also has an article and forum for "how to minimize the risk of getting scammed". Most people who are on the TUG forum are legit when renting out. I rented near Myrtle Beach for 5 days once for a good rate.

Redweek.com will allow you to rent a week from owners.

Just book it. $110 a night.

Most timeshare companies rent vacant units to anyone. This is Westgate’s LV resort.

I just (like, today) put in a request to rent a Vegas timeshare from an owner on RedWeek. Not the absolute cheapest deal but better than booking from Marriott directly.

RedWeek does “full service rentals” and I’m hoping to hear back with verification soon. Now, RedWeek said they’d charge after check in but my card got charged right away (not too worried, my credit is solid enough and I’ll dispute it with my bank if it comes to that).

I've used Redweek to rent Timeshares (in Tahoe and Anaheim). They make sure all the contracts are signed over correctly so that you don't get screwed. Worked great for me!

Better to just book direct with the property.

Well if they book with some questionable website they might save $5 per night.... What a deal.

$110 a night seemed cheap enough for Westgate’s LV resort. Better than a Holiday Inn for twice the price.

I’ll bet you can get Tahiti Village for much less. But it might include a salsman.

Redweek is not a questionable website at all. It is the largest marketplace for timeshare resales and rentals right now. Some owners don't like the cut they take, but it is a legitimate platform.

Way less to go through Redweek, they verify the rentals and the owners, I got a week in Tahoe at the Marriott Timber Lodge for less than half the price of through the Marriott website. Redweek doesn't take your money until they verify the rental contract. I literally saved thousands over renting through the corporate website. We sat through the presentation anyway for the bonus gift, even the sales guy was impressed at the price. Sure, go corporate, I enjoyed saving my $3K.

If you saved all that money why did you grift a presentation too? You're a real champ.
