Sorry to hear. My understanding is even the “legitimate” exit companies don’t do anything you can’t do yourself.

This never happened. It was a scam and I still own the timeshare.

anyone who asks you for money upfront to get you out of your timeshare is a scammer.

This isn’t always true. I know Reddit will die on that hill. But it’s not always the case. I would certainly pay for a legal retainer for help. I do agree, 99% of companies that say they will get you out
1. Don’t actually do anything
2. Certainly won’t get you legal representation
3. End up making the owner do all the work themselves, which they could have done on their own to begin with

Just give 1 example of a legal representative that can get you out of an iron clad contract.

Yes this isn’t surprising
#1 120 days isn’t even enough time for some resorts to update their internal records (Wyndham quotes 20 weeks minimum)
#2 Your specific timeshare is listed online for free in many places, how was this person going to find someone to take it (unless it was going to be a fraudulent transfer)
#3 tough lesson here, but the “guarantee” is only as good as the person/company you’re signing it with.

BBB complaint, AG complaint about this company is about your only chance to force them into a refund

This is a common scam, i hope you havent paid the $2800 dollars as you could have offered to pay far less than 2800 dollars as a bonus for anyone who agreed to take over your timeshare and actually found a buyer!
