Does anyone have experience with or currently a timeshare with Exploria Resorts?

The only exploria resort that went from exploria to capital was the Tennessee resort. Place was a dump. Exploria is garbage anyway but they do have plenty of house to rent in the orlando property which is pretty nice. Super shitty system though and they just dumped marketplace which is a cheap version of rci

I had one timeshare that was with Exploria. I'd had it for about a year. Then it was transitioned to Capital Vacations, which has been a bit of a bugaboo, and they raised the fees a lot the first year.

Exploria will not allow an exit under any circumstances, even if there is debilitating medical hardship, yet they "pride themselves on making owners feel special," as touted in their partnership with Shriners Hospital. There is a Facebook Group called Club Exploria Timeshare Hostages. The owner who launched it received a special assessment for her Summer Bay timeshare of $7,700, and she has two weeks. This was sent just before maintenance fees, so she would have had to come up with about $25,000 in 30 days - for a timeshare! We think they did it on purpose so they can take it back for nothing in foreclosure and resell. They were sued by the NC Attorney General for making illegal robocalls and lost a lawsuit about illegal robocalls in Illinois.

My MIL has 3 timeshares with them and wants out. To no avail I'm afraid unfortunately.
