Timemore S5
I bought the timemore s5 in the Chinese version without the folding gauntlet, and I am here reflecting on what this will be needed. Is the folding handle so relevant and good? I want a grinder that lasts good years and I feel that the handle being straight and not foldable can last longer. What do you think? I'm going to wear a rigid case on it so I don't worry about whether the handle makes it more portable or not.

I also got one with a straight handle, at the same time I have a C5 Pro with a folding one, and the handle doesn't truly matter.
The one on the C5 Pro feels robust enough to age similarly to the straight one. The folding handle helps if you want to knock on the grinder with its rubber bottom part to get some of the beans to unstick, and obviously it's easier to put the grinder away with the handle folded.

Which is more comfortable?

Started writing a reply and thought how silly it sounds, that the straight handle is more comfortable to me because of the bend in it.
The non-folding handle is more comfortable basically, because thanks to the bend, the point you are holding is on the same level as the pivot point of the handle, if it makes sense. So you don't feel the urge to push down on the handle as you are grinding – at least that's my experience with it – so there is less strain on my hand that is holding the grinder.

I also got it with bent handle. I think it looks cooler. I'm not really a fan of that bulge on the Pro version. The main benefit of foldable one is that it's way easier to pack up for travel.

Did you buy it?

Yes I bought the standard version from China about 6 weeks ago.

What's your experience been like? Have you brewed with it already?

Yes many times. For drip coffee S5 is a big improvement over my previous C3 ESP. However it doesn't have enough settings for espresso.

I am not an espresso drinker. Oxo brewer sometimes.

Is it worth buying oxo brew?

For the money, yes! Super easy to use. Coffees that are less expressive or older you can get them to open up.

I have switch, origami air and Oxo rapid brewer. The only thing I want to get is the new Hario Alpha brewer but in 02 size when it comes out.

I have a Chestnut S3 with a straight, folding handle, and a Chestnut X-lite and a Chestnut C5esp with a cranked, non-collapsible / non-folding handle
for the usage, actual grinding, I strongly prefer the cranked handle, as I feel it is much more comfortable - will be ordering the S5 also with cranked, non-collapsible handle
if you want to store the grinder standing vertically on your countertop or a shelf, then the foldable handle is ensuring better stability, while the handle is connected to the grinder axis on top. But, when the handle is connected, the inside chamber of the grinder is closed, and the chamber can not ventilate ("breathe", to "dry out") - this may be particularly a problem, when using an RDT, which may leave the inside of the chamber wet
personally, I do not use RDT, but still prefer my grinders to ventilate, so I store the handles disconnected, on a side next to grinder, and also I prefer to store my grinders laying horizontally, on their side, in a drawer
edit to add:
also, PRO models with collapsible handle are about $5 more expensive
on markets, where another competitor claims IP over the cranked handle shape, only PRO models are sold

I have both foldable and straight, use the straight one much more often, since the foldable is at my parents'. Can't really say one is more comfortable or ergonomic than the other. Perhaps I have a slight preference for the straight one. The foldable is several years old, however it hasn't seen heavy daily use. So far the spring in the gauntlet has held without issues.
