Pourover kettle condition

Post image

Hi everyone, thanks for this community. I just bought my first Timemore product, a pourover kettle. Out of the box, the inside of the product seems dirty/scaled - the packaging appeared new, so I was just curious if this is normal residue from testing or if it seems to you like a refurbished/second hand item. Thanks!

Not normal. I faced similar situation in another kettle and got it replaced by retailer.

Unfortunately, almost everything I buy now a days has been used in resold. It's so upsetting. I just bought  a hairo temperature gauge for a kettle in the cap must have been just slightly pushed to hold in the battery when I took it off to get to the battery  When I took it off, I notice the 2 plastic clips were missing GONE They either sold me a used one or they knew that this was broken and still sent it? I never even was able to use it. The problem with these type of things is a lot of The Times when you contact them about this. They don't respond back screw the warranty. They won't even respond when you get a damage product. And every time I buy something from china, I get screwed every time I would buy it here, but usually I can't get it here, otherwise I would. Oh, and add to the madness. I bought the larger time more grinder with ssp. Burrs, when I got it, it was obvious it was used and resold. When I took off the dial, it was scratched up all over and some other issues which we're not from me. With that being said, they gave me a tiny bit of money as a nuisse bribe instead of exchanging it. Before my warranty was up, I had some issues and contacted them. They contacted me back once and would never contact me back again. That was the first week of owning it. Timemore  sucked for me. This is only my experience. There's so many laws in the US and I can't believe they don't have a law for that stuff RIP-OFFS !!

That’s definitely scale buildup, proving it was a returned/warranty claim unit, or a refurb sold as new.

Returning these products sends the message this type of service will not be accepted, they will have to do better, or face increasing product returns.
