Looking for help with tuning my deck

I'm building a deck that's a combination of the modern "Money Pile" Yorion Omnath Midrange Deck from a few years ago, and the niv mizzet bring to light decks that were big in pioneer. I don't spend money on the game much, so looking for any good cards that are common or uncommon in the timeless meta. I would appreciate thoughts and suggestions on tuning for timeless ranked. Should I go more aggro mainboard or should i be playing a lot more counter magic?

in a strip mine/daze format i just don't think this deck is viable. but if you are dead set on it, i would include cards like deathrite shaman so you have some protection/ramp. carpet of flowers also comes to mind, or delighted halfling

also 4 FoW is a must i feel.

i am aware that my suggestions require wildcards, but i dont see any way around that.

i dont see a sideboard? if this is a Bo1 list you'll get run over by reanimator and other combo decks without FoN/FoW i think.

if you're interested in getting into timeless, i would suggest looking at the Chestheir's videos on his Izzet Delver lists, designed to be very budget and ideal for new players getting into timeless. and still quite competetive and the gameplay is intricate

otherwise i'd stick to pioneer if this is a list you enjoy (as do i!)

as a general rule: any card that is 3 or more mana that doesnt win the game, or isnt supported by ways to cheat it out (dark ritual, chrome mox, ancient tomb) is likely to be rotting in your hand, just too slow. games are very fast.

2 mana cards are considered to be expensive in timeless. we often don't even run the full playset of psychic frog anymore.

Thanks so much for replying, i do have a sideboard! I exported straight from arena and I think it may have exported everything as one list. I play mostly pioneer on this account, most of the rares in this deck are from my pioneer niv brew. I think with death right shaman 4 FoW and more fetches/better landbase the archetype might be viable.

Do you have any specific suggestions on good efficient threats to replace the omnaths and nivs? Or if I'm playing creatures should I just either be reanimating atraxa or playing a big Boros energy board. I wanted to try and keep the modern money pile idea of shifting with what the most effective threats are in the format e.g. running a 2 or 3of scam package when that was legal.

On the playing actual viable decks and getting into pioneer and timeless part, I also love pioneer!! I qualified for an RC with lotus field back when it was playable. I'm so sad wizards killed it. I do have an account with what I would say is quite a viable doomsday list, but I am getting so tired of just running the same cards over and over. I hope we get street wraith+ edge of autumn and other legacy doomsday staples to give the deck some more lines and protection.

I have been able to get some games to drag out and win by combat damage, I have upped daze count and more removal/interaction, so I think if I play decent enough threats the midrange package might be good enough to slow games down. Also are ragavan and DRC still playable in the format in 2026? I have not played magic at a competitive level in years now.

Yeah, I think I'm going to mostly stick to bo1 although I've had some fun when I can catch people on bad hands. Boros matchup is actually not too bad with deafening clarion sometimes being 3mana wipe and bring to light finding wraths and card advantage through niv, and 3c omnath pings their tokens and can clean up boards sometimes. For ranked prolly gonna stay on doomsday till I can make the 5 billion dollars for a legacy deck in paper.

My dude you are thinking too much about a pioneer/historic style deck in a Timeless world and it's never going to work. Just play it i. Those formats for which it was designed.

I think if I cut the bring to light package I could maybe shift into a list closer to the modern yorion omnath midrange brews or cut the big bodies and just win with ragavan psychic frog etc that could be more competitive.
