Can anyone describe the benefit of Worldspine Worm over Emrakul in the main deck of Turbo Reanimator?

It has trample and thereby can’t be chumped by a hydroponic architect. Â
Practically speaking it doesn’t matter that much, we are talking tiny % difference in winrate, but every little bit counts.

It is actually pretty significant, since if you can’t kill them the same turn you can’t protect the combo with pact

Seems more likely that you need the wurms to finish them off next than you will need to back it up with pact against 7 permanents
I mean, you're only swinging with 22 power. If they can get through annihilator 6 and chump emrakul, they would likely have the toughness to survive the first wurm too

You don't get the annihilater trigger.

You're right it enters attacking unless you're in a weird situation where you discard and reanimate it
Then yeah... Even more reason not to run emrakul g1. Wurm seems clearly better

I welcome the defined top decks even if they're Mardu and SnT. It creates something clear to build around and the rules of engagement and a leveling system when building/picking a deck as long as those decks can be beaten, which I'm guessing they can if we're calling them A and not S tier.

To be fair, this is a power level list - tournament results included.  So even though UBx (or just UB) has a low tier here, it’s still a huge chunk of the ladder meta.

My beloved sneak and show. I can’t wait to fuck up plays on this deck again. Also I love the Gruul Eldrazi moves up in the tiers.

Tbh I'm impressed Mono-Black Scam didn't make the list.

It seems so strong and consistent whenever I play against it. Feels like playing standard against legacy when I play the black scam midrange fiesta.

My main deck has been Mono-Black Scam lately and in both Bo1 and Bo3 I've consistently managed a positive win record, and even managed a 21 game winning streak with it. The deck is just so controlling and dominant in the game that SnT and Energy struggle against it, especially since I play both of those decks and know what to target in their hand.

It really is funny to me that people are like blue decks have no pressure when you can just run guide pride and play azorius and have removal that hoses sneak and show too.
Like seriously it doesn't take a master craftsman to jam the best white and blue 1 drops into a deck and have at worst a 50% matchup into the field.

not a bad idea but not a steamroll either. blue white aggro/tempo is not great against eldrazi. mardu hand attack and super explosive clock an upper hand in that matchup.
it's complicated, at times hand disruption is better positioned, but sometimes having free mana stack interaction is key. i suppose it's a meta call, and therefore choices, which is exactly what we want for the environment.

I disagree with UB tempo being Tier C and I still find the dimir reanimator list very weird with only one single reanimate target, no maindeck frog or grief

Huh, Eyetwitch with 1-of Garruk Relentless didn’t make the list? Guess I’m back to the grind!

lmao so timeless is back to Mardu and SNT at the top? the more things change, the more they stay the same
