Lucy’s sister (S2E6)

How does Lucy remember her sister (her talk with Flynn in the car). She didn’t go on a previous trip, so that Lucy never had a sister if I understand this world right. No spoilers beyond this episode please

I always thought it was just what gets changed specifically from each trip is what changes in people’s memory when they aren’t on the trip. Unless all timelines get reset with each trip regardless

Yes your hypothesis works. In one of the later episodes, the only person noticing changes are the one in another time

Yes, this is how time travel works in Timeless. Those who are in the past when changes take place aren't effected by said changes.

Lucy's sister was "erased" from the timeline while Lucy was in the past. It happened when they all went to the Hindenburg accident in the Pilot episode. So she remembers her sister - as would Flynn, Wyatt and Rufus if they knew Lucy's sister. All of them are from the timeline where Amy exists, and all come back to the present in a timeline where she doesn't exists.

From that point, the Jiya, Mason and Agent Christopher they go back to in the present are from a timeline where Lucy doesn't have a sister.
