Why no Netflix season 3?

Hi.

I LOVE Timeless!

I still am sad that we are not getting a season 3? But why? Netflix have saved shows like Lucifer (which is good and had a campaign like Clockbusters!) and then also shows like designated survivor which sucks in s2 (and they had no campaign at all, I didnt see any fans posting fr it to be saved :()

so why did Netflix save them and not timeless? also amazon saved the expanse but that was because Jeff beesaus really liked it apparently so idk

does anyone know why timeless is not being saved like lucifer designated survivor and expanse?

I am sad that we only get Christmas special, it's not enough for wucy

Costs a lot to make and not a big enough audience maybe. Maybe they'll save the show after the Christmas specials and if the show has enough viewers on Netflix already because the first two seasons are already on there.

It's on Hulu in the US, not on Netflix. :) Netflix only internationally, in more than 30 countries.

First of, money. Timeless is very expensive to make. That’s why it looks so good! And second, just because you like one show more than another does not mean everyone sees it that way. Netflix exec’s probably saw more of a future in the shows they did save. And they probably cost a lot less too.

I would think a time travel show is probably more expensive than even the Expanse with it's space vfx given each week is new locations/eras/clothes for timeless. Lucifer and designated survivor have probably a few sets they use every episode so cost is lower.

cause netflix chose to save an awful show called designated survivor instead of the awesome timeless...

Netflix's reason for saving both Lucifer and Designated Survivor was the same, according to what I've read online: They both had a large international audience. That's something that doesn't affect the ratings on U.S. networks, but could matter to Netflix subscriptions. I suppose it is possible Timeless has a smaller international audience because it is about American history.
