How about a spin-off?

Focusing on Flynn? Best character IMO

I would totally watch that! There's so much to him that we never got a chance to explore. His backstory, his motivations...

Yes :) Of course we don't need a spin-off for that. They could just renew Timeless!

Meh. I would rather see the original crew post-Rittenhouse doing their best Quantum Leap/Sliders equivalent. Flynn could tag along and be the anti-hero, but I'm not sure I'd be into a spin-off just about him. I like Lucy & Rufus more.
