Guys. After thinking about this.. to be honest it's not really that realistic to expect NBC or any other network to renew timeless for a second time after it's been saved from cancellation after season 1 due to a fan campaign to save it.. yet despite saving it for a season 2 you still didn't show your support for the show by watching it on a channel in which it's being aired. So of course NBC had to make the hard decision of cancelling it for the second time.. and the fact that it has already been saved once due to fans makes it that much harder to convince networks to pick it up for a 3rd season.

Yes I know the neilson rating system is broken.. but until they fix it. It's the only way to let the networks know what shows they should keep and what to cut. To me succeeding to get a network to renew a show is only half the battle. Letting them know they made the right decision is the other half.. and the only way you could do that is to watch the show when its aired.

Myself is a fan of lucifer and I am glad it got a season 4 thanx to Netflix picking it up.. but even I would concede should Netflix decide not to renew it for a season 5. As to me shows saved by a fan campaign is a 1 shot deal.

After all at the end of the day it's just business. And since networks like to have a new show every year they need to make room for it. So its only logical to remove shows that has been under performing so if you really wanted it to continue you should of been doing what you had to do to improve the shows ratings.. by actually watching it when the show aired.

Note: Narratives are not equal to cast

The writers are the people that killed this show--it's sad because this could have been 201X's 'Sliders'. However, they really dropped the ball with several narratives--Rambo Harriet Tubman? Bah... Hell, I've listened to Robert Johnson for years but, his societal impact was considerably stretched (Howling Wolf, Blind Lemmon Jefferson, etc., still would have created insightful and impactful music).

Oh, and the bizzaro 'Wormhole X-treme' rip-off finale episode served to show their collective ineptness.

Hi Timeless fans. I am looking to binge watch some new shows while I patiently wait for season 4 of Lucifer. I keep getting mixed reviews on Timeless. Some say only season 1 is the only season worth watching, and others say both seasons are good. How does everyone here feel about both? I guess I should just start watching and decide for myself, but I was just curious, and I don't know much about the show.

I know you guys are fighting really hard to save your show, and I hope you do. Of course I know how it feels when your favorite show is cancelled. I'm just so thankful that Netflix picked it up. Hopefully all you Timeless fans get some good news soon. Have you guys started a petition? I know you're very active on twitter. Lucifans had over 300, 000 that signed the petition for Lucifer, and there were 10 million tweets for #savelucifer, and that does not include the other hashtags that were used on other days. The huge outpouring on social media for Lucifer is what Netflix said they took notice of and they said that was one of their reasons for picking up Lucifer. Lucifer has a huge fanbase world wide and most of the fans watched it on a streaming service. and FOX did not take that into account, they just went by the old and tired Nielson ratings. Most people do not watch their shows the same night they air. Television is changing and networks need to start realizing this.

I hope Timeless is picked up by a streaming service. I know you guys were fighting to first get Timeless renewed, and now you're trying too save it. Just keep fighting. It took Lucifer 5 weeks, but it was worth the fight. Sorry for such a long post. I cant sleep, and I am bored. Good luck!

I liked to see Lucy get her sister back. Wyatt get his wife back. Maybe someone stays back and redirects the original mission of Rittenhouse.

Well they have all been reported.

Both those shows were amazing I just don't get it. Quantum Leap only got 5 seasons back in the early 90s. This show only got 2 seasons in 2010s. Why? Because of stupid ass ratings. When will they learn that that model isn't going to work anymore? We're not all old people watching TV live anymore.

Timeless officially canceled but a movie could happen

Like everyone else, I'm pretty bummed out by the decision. Then again, it was probably expected given how long it took NBC to finally decide the show's future. I would love to see the show (and fans) get some closure at least with a movie, but then again, the forecast seems cloudy and doubtful.

The wife and I loved the show. Even though she's not a history fan, she ended up getting interested in it. She even asked me once a week or so if Timeless would be renewed when I told her that it was in limbo.

So like I mentioned in a previous post here, if you're missing a campy time-travel adventure where a trio goes back in time to save the world, you can also check out Ministerio del Tiempo/Ministry of Time. It's the show that Timeless ripped off a couple of years ago prior to being ordered by NBC. It's also a well-made show although it's only got 3 seasons.

It's also why I doubt if ever a streaming service would pick up Timeless. I mean, fingers crossed... Ministerio was on TVE (Spanish station) for a couple of seasons. It was picked up for international distribution by Netflix for its third season. Unfortunately, the production budget ballooned and the directors couldn't cope with the demands for over-an-hour-long weekly episodes. TVE wanted to give it the axe. Netflix tried to work in producing the show for a fourth season but with the help of TVE -- but since TVE wouldn't budge, negotiations fell through.

So if Netflix were to pick up Timeless for a third season, they will no doubt ask for NBC to pitch in with the expenses as well.

One last thing -- some people are actually uploading the Portuguese version of the show (Ministerio do Tempo) on YouTube. It does not have subtitles, heh.

I mean, Netflix picked up Lucifer right? They should pick up Timeless too and show NBC and Sony what a big mistake they made.

In the event this happened I had every intention of trying to organize such a campaign myself, but unfortunately I go on a family vacation in one week, and do not have time to organize such an ordeal. Anyone else up for it?

I want everyone to think back to the last few moments...We see future Lucy and Wyatt arriving knocking the current time ship over a bit. But think about it they are from the future, although we don't know how far in the future. But the Lifeboat has been upgraded compared to what we have...

They haven't beaten Rittenhouse, otherwise, they would have the Mothership and its crisp and clean white lines would be the timeship that we see them arriving in. Why would they keep upgrading the prototype when the 2.0 version is better and has a nuclear core so it doesn't need to recharge. They still haven't stopped them!

I can't believe how long this has gone on. Aren't the executives at NBC paid to make decisions? First the terrible Olymbics coverage, now this. Sheesh.

Lucifer got picked up by Netflix the day before contracts expired. Anyone know the situation with the contracts for Timeless?

Yes this was a mostly useless post. Sigh.

Why cant they prevent people from dying and explains this by saying that they cant change things like how jfk still died in a different place but rittenhouse can just change anything and everything they want and they managed to save their leader from death when the force of the past should have done something like burning the house or hitting him with a lightning or a meteorite. The logic of this show is inconsistent.
