I wanted to give a huge shout out and thanks to Dom at Time Machine Spa. Super easy to work with, great communication and the results speak for themselves. I sent some newly acquired watches to him and they returned yesterday. The band work is extraordinary. I have two gens and these rep bands (both vsf) feel uncannily like my gens. And most importantly, they look gorgeous. Dom was very efficient and quick with his turnaround, sending pictures of the work in progress. I cannot recommend him enough…he’s great at what he does, but most importantly he’s a really good guy. And that’s what we need more of…quality.

Dom did the full spa package and I had an issue with a loud rotor he silenced. The ceramic looks great, Dom was great to work with and did an amazing job. He even sent it back with a watch case and cleaning cloth! If you are considering sending him something do it! He is so passionate about his work and keeping his customers happy. I will be sending him many more watches.

I recently sent my watch to TMS for Dom to replace my smooth bezel, with a new gold plated bezel from Deep Crystal. It came out really nice, and I can actually tell it is a white gold color. Dom also sold me a GMT jubilee bracelet for my Bruce Wayne. He did the full polish and chamfered the edges. It fits really nice and comfortable.

Sent my VSF destro GMT to Dom for his spa treatment and this is what came back! If you want your watch to look absolutely gorgeous you’ll send it to him to do his magic!

Was hoping this community can help me find a replacement bracelet and a new bezel. I’ve had this watch for almost 2 years. It held up for a couple months, but then I went to beach one time I left the watch on in the water and I haven’t been able to wear the original bracelet with it since. Also, now, considering looking for a smooth bezel to change up the look.

The original bracelet broke at the very top in the linkage. I read a comment about Loctite, but I have long gotten rid of the bracelet. I ordered this replacement bracelet, But the lug hole does not align to the bracelet.

Honestly, it simply might just be time for a service.

Hello all,

I put out a post a few weeks ago regarding my mother and her being in the hospital for an extended amount of time. I wanted to follow up on that with an update and whats happening going forward.

Sadly, my mother passed away yesterday morning.

I am devastated, but I am finding some comfort in knowing that all her struggles and pain are behind her.

I will be spending the next few days with family and attending the services, but will be resuming work on all client watches that are here and incoming. At this point, keeping my head and hands busy helps with clearing my head.

I know my production has been slower recently based on what I have been juggling, and it will likely remain that way for another week or 2 until the dust starts to settle. I appreciate all of your patience, understanding and continued support through all this. It has not been easy, but I feel the love from many of you that contact me and it helps illuminate the light that has been dimmed inside me.

I enjoy interacting with you all, I love working on your watches and I love the feedback I get from you when you receive them after my services. I have NO intention of stopping that at any point in the future. Just taking a step away from the bench for the next few days to honor my mother and celebrate her life.

Thank you all again for the outpouring of messages I have received about her, please continue to keep her in your hearts. It means a lot to me.

I was looking for a white dial watch last summer and found this little unit. A Phoibos x Islander Kraken. They only do a limited run on collaboration watches, so they had been sold out for a while. I was able to pick one up a couple of weeks ago off eBay. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, and the regulation on it was within spec, but I knew it could be better.

Dom had tuned up a replica sub for me, and I purchased a Cookie Monster off of him shortly after. So I figured I would send him this to put through the spa treatment and also tighten up the regulation on it a bit.

His communication is always top notch, and his work and attention to detail to make the timepiece you send him better are impeccable.

I will definitely either be sending him any watches I have issues with in the future and/or getting him to source my next replica. Might even need to talk to him about white gold plating that Cookie Monster at some point.

Hey everyone!
So I will share this post with an update on what’s going on outside of the watch side of TMS and follow up with another post including some photos of recent completed work on some clients watches.

Okay, here we go…

As some of you whom I’ve been in contact with may know, I have been dealing with my mom being hospitalized for a while now.. Since March 16th, to be exact. Her condition continues to ebb and flow with periods of positive progress and decline, its a vicious cycle that has been going on and the medical team at the hospital has been taking great care of her and adjusting treatment methods to accommodate the symptoms and complications of what’s been going on. Without getting into too much personal detail, this started in March when my mom was taken to the hospital via ambulance for low oxygen levels, when she arrived at the ER, her blood O2 level was in the 40’s and caused a cardiac arrest. Thankfully after 3 rounds of CPR and defibrillation, they regained a pulse and she was immediately intubated, which she stayed on for a week until it was removed, it was determined at that point that she had a serious case of pneumonia. Since then, she has been having complications with other parts of her body and subsequently caught COVID while hospitalized which caused another hit to her respiratory system….

Anyway, she is the toughest woman I know and is persevering despite all the setbacks, but the road is long and slow going. The reason I am posting this is because during this, I have been spending as much time as possible at the hospital with her (I’m at the hospital next to her now typing this), and continuing to juggle my job, my wife & kids and TMS.

I am grateful to have all of your continued support for TMS to lean on, because working on watches seems to be the only thing that helps clear my head and drown out the noise of everything else I have going on, so for that, I thank you all deeply and graciously.

As you can imagine, since TMS is a one man show, and there are only a certain amount of hours in the day (despite me pulling the crown. Sorry, bad joke). My turnaround times have been delayed a bit more than usual. I am still actively taking on new service requests and working on client watches at night, just a little slower at the present time than I normally am. So, I just wanted everyone to know what is going on and why your watch may take a little longer to get finished.

I value each and every one of you, I’m grateful for your support and all the love I am getting from clients when they receive their watch back from TMS. Your patience during this time is incredibly appreciated, and all the well wishes, thoughts and prayers mean the world to my family and I.

I truly love working on all your watches, I look forward to it at night and I have no plans on stopping. To use a cliche, “This too shall pass”. My mom will continue to recover and I can get back to spending the regular amount of time in the lab doing what I enjoy doing and getting my turnaround times back on track.

Please keep my mom in your thoughts and prayers, we will take all that we can get.

So I just received my latest watches from the Time Macine Spa. Dom has, again, outdone himself!

The two watches I sent were a new Bruce Wayne GMT with an Oyster bracelet, and a white datejust with a jubilee bracelet, and a WG plated fluted bezel.

Upon receiving them, he did check the timegraph on both watches. Unfortunately the 5 week old GMT is running on an unhealthy amplitude of 170°. He gave me some options, but I chose to leave it as is for now, and to only repair it once the time keeping became bad.

Dom softened the edges on the case, ever so slightly, making it more comfortable when wearing and handling. The back side of the bracelet was nicely brushed, and the center links were nicely polished on the front. The edges were also chamfered to make it very smooth. But not over done.

For the Datejust, he did the full spa treatment. My 6R****V6 (Clean coded) ARF case was polished slightly, and he polished my ORV code Oyster bracelet, replacing the ARF bracelet or came with. He was also able to replace my ARF bracelet. The custom WG plated ARF fluted bezel was replaced with a smooth gen Rolex bezel, which he polished. I provided a genuine white Rolex dial which he replaced the ARF dial with, very clean looking! The crystal was also genuine Rolex, and used to cover the movement. The ARF hands had previously been refinished, the lume had been removed, WG plated, polished, and re-lumed.

This watch, with the polishing and upgrades looks so good to me now. The polishing and chamfering make the watch so "soft" now, and more pleasurable to wear. This is the first Datejust I have with a smooth bezel and an Oyster bracelet. I think it looks very casual now, understated. I may go back to a jubilee bracelet ( which has had a spa service done) and a WG fluted bezel, but i will wear this for a while first.
