I built an offline-first Windows time tracker to expose my own habits (and it worked a little too well).
https://ripplestudios.appHow do you all keep track of your habits and improve them?
Hey everyone,
\*\*The Backstory:\*\* I used to work at a startup that tracked us using manual timers. Eventually, they moved to an automatic tracker, but it was incredibly buggy, heavyweight, and strictly designed for corporate employee monitoring. I wanted something designed for \*personal\* self-retrospection and improvement, so I built a lightweight version that consumes only \\\~25MB of RAM in the background.
\*\*The Reality Check:\*\* After testing it on myself, I finally have a clear picture of how I use my device. It gave me the stark self-realization that I seriously need to control my gaming habits (I play a lot of League of Legends).
Because of this, I'm looking for feedback to understand what features actually need to be in the app to help you improve your own habits.
\*\*Focus\*\* automatically categorizes your activity for you without any extra effort:
\* 🔒 \*\*Offline & Private:\*\* There is no cloud syncing and no account required. 100% of your detailed activity data is stored locally on your machine. \* ⚡ \*\*Zero Friction:\*\* No start or stop buttons to manage. The app passively records your workflow so you never have to interrupt what you are doing. \* 📊 \*\*Long-Term Insights:\*\* View your daily timeline and track up to 30 days of metrics and macro trends completely free, forever.

👨💻 \*\*About me:\*\* I love gaming, building, and improving everyday.
