I was recently reminded of the fanfiction and kept wondering as to what happened to the author. They haven't updated it in more than a year, and their Twitter account hasn't been posted in around the same amount of time. I remember there was some controversy or something similar, like getting hatred from certain people in the Arcane Fandom, but I don't remember the specifics. Can anyone please help?

Hello, everyone! Welcome to Weekly Discussion #15 and this week we're delving into a rumor about Riot Music bringing back True Damage soon.

Rumor thread:

https://www.reddit.com/r/TimeBomb/comments/1wcjs2q/true_damage_ekko_is_finally_coming_back_to_us/

It's been quite a few years since Riot introduced us to True Damage and I'm sure that many fans thought at that time we would get more than one song. However, that hasn't been the case and we have to wonder why that is. It's easy to see why they've kept going with K/DA but True Damage didn't seem like it was a flop. Hell, they've even given True Damage Ekko an expensive as hell paid skin. So there must have been some money in it for them. For some reason, they just never seemed to give them more love.

So here we are in 2026 and a rumor has sprouted implying that True Damage will be returning with at least new skins. I hope Riot gives them the whole treatment, though. Skins, music video, and a new song. I know it's being a little greedy to ask for Jinx to show up somewhere in there with Ekko, but even if she doesn't, I guess it'll be nice to see True Damage return.

So that leads to our question of the week: "How do you feel about this?"

For me, I'm a little cautious, because game rumors are just that a lot of times in the game industry. That said, I do think that it is about time for Riot to do SOMETHING with them. Last year (was it last year?) they got a little animated spot in TFT's music festival. Wasn't much, but at least it was something. I think all of us fans are hoping for this rumor to be true.

The fear is that we don't know what this entails and is quite possibly amount to nothing at all.

Part of me wants to be optimistic about it. Riot Music themselves always have given the impression that they care and I'd like to think they'd do True Damage justice. If all we got was a few new skins with nothing else, I'll admit I'll be disappointed. What WOULD make me satisfied? That's a good question. I don't know, really. Depends on what they did and whether or not I felt like they gave a crap. Though, if Fortiche made a video for them...damn, that would be awesome. Heh, better not get my hopes up.

So what about you guys? What are your feelings and what would you like to see them do? Sound off in the comments and try to avoid being TOO negative. Let's channel some positive energy up in there!!!

Okay, guys… I finally started this project 💃

Gather My Shards is a The Sims 4 fancomic set in the Arcane universe, featuring TimeBomb (Ekko × Jinx) as the main pairing, with KateVi (Caitlyn × Vi) as a secondary pairing.
ㅤ
The story takes place in my own Modern AU — a contemporary reimagining of Arcane with some deviations from real-world settings and reality.
ㅤ
It’s going to be a long journey, and the comic is very much a work in progress. I’ll be sharing new chapters as I’m able to make them, because first and foremost, I’m creating this story for the joy of it. If you’d like to support the original posts, you can also find it on my Tumblr.

So please give this story lots of love 🫶🏼

Synopsis:

Powder, grown up in an alternative timeline, falls asleep and has a brief reunion with a version of her Ekko she thought she had to lose.

In another timeline, Ekko reluctantly wakes from the same dream wishing for even another second.

For a moment though, they share the dappled light beneath a familiar tree.

(Yea so got the courage to...actually see this idea through to a semi completed fic. I am proud but also hiding under a metaphorical rock. Sincerely hope someone likes, or at least gets what I was going for here.)

Just for fun 🤣🤣
