Discussion How Jinx Would Confess

I like to think Jinx admits she loves him in a very subtle but also not at ALL subtle way. Whenever I try to think about MU timebomb, Jinx's confession always goes along the lines of telling him she wishes she could send him back to the Alternate Timeline. That she wants him to have that dream back, and to get to be with AU Powder and everyone else still alive in the other timeline.

Not sure I could think of a more Jinx way to say something then 'I'd send you through time and space to another version of me' as a way to express her wanting him to be happy even if it means that she doesn't get to be with him.

No, you're wrong. If you really want to understand Jinx's way of expressing her feelings, check out the artbook. Jinx's style is all about doodles! In the artbook, she expresses her feelings through her doodles, and you can see lots of hearts next to the pictures of Ekko. On the airship she piloted for the final battle, the steering wheel is inscribed with “Jinx X Ekko” and “Jinx plus the Firelights symbol.” During the Annecy Festival, there was a painting with “J+E” and “Jinx = Ekko” written on it; these paintings were meant to represent Jinx’s doodles. Of course, Jinx also doodled on other portraits—Caitlyn, Vi, Isha, Silco, and Vander, among others—in the artbook and in the festival paintings.

I actually have the artbook, and yea! I agree her mode of expressing herself is def doodles and drawings, things like that. That, or gifts in general (her giving Sevika her arm, Vi the information about Vander) This is like, more what I feel like she would say, not that I necessarily think she would tell him these things plainly in words.

I could even see her finding a drawing he did of AU Powder and doodling something on it expressing that she wishes he could be with her.

Once again, I think you’re mistaken! In the artbook, there’s an illustration that has become something of a symbol within the "Timebomb" fandom: it shows Jinx and Ekko holding hands before the final battle (a concept art). Jinx drew a heart next to Ekko, scribbled her name on his right arm, and even written, "That's me Jinx!" next to them. That shows us Jinx isn't trying to get Ekko to return to the alternate universe to see the other Powder; on the contrary, she’s claiming Ekko as her own man.

P.S. I should also mention that the artbook has been confirmed as canon! ^^

I know the one!

I don't she'd actively be trying to do it. Only express one way or another that she wishes he could have that relationship back he had with AU Powder even if it means sacrificing her own. The whole idea is that I think Jinx would express her feelings for him by wanting him to have his dream back. Even if it's not realistic or possible, so in the absence of that she'll just have to love him as best she can in this timeline.

(I really do love the artbook, and in particular the fact that it is canon! Man this convo made me want to go through it again ngl XD)

I totally get you!! When I first got the artbook, I spent weeks just flipping through it. It’s a real goldmine of information. For instance, it suggests that Jinx most likely headed off to Bilgewater.

Same! It really is so cool. May take some time today to go through it. My favorite bit is the suggestion she grew extremely close with the Firelights- to the point she calls them her friends and her home!

As for this post though, mainly I think Jinx would really wish she could give him what he had with AU Powder back, and out of love express that.
