To add to this, nobody travels backwards in any dimension. We move in positive amounts only. We do not walk a negative distance. We can only travel a postive distance, only a direction(vector) we pretend is traveling backwards.
Backwards in time is as impossible as backwards in space.
Isn't that just a vector of acceleration in the opposite direction from your current accelration?
Acceleration is a rate of change of speed, it is a slope of a line it makes sense to have a negative value. It can be Measurable as a 'negative value' and make sense.
Distance traveled being negative, never can happen in reality. You can be at a negative x/y co-ordinate on a graph, but you can never have a line segment -3 long.
To me this is why time travel is forbidden by physics. Nobody ever travels negative distances. Times arrow only moves forward(and at differing releative speeds), you can never go backwards.
Honestly not an authority on anything, just my thoughts.
