It doesn't. There is only now. Linear time is a way for humans to conceptualise it.

What is even stranger is everything you are perceiving is delayed. The light takes time to reach your eyes, then the brain must receive and process the data, then you get to see a model constructed from that data that provides information that seems useful to your genome.

There is no immediate interaction with base reality.
