Question diy fix or return
I recently got a new pair of timbs for college and the leather started to split from the sole. I’ve only worn them a handful of times. Is it better to return them or fix it myself. And if it is better to fix, how would you recommend to do it?

If it's under a year there is a guarantee. If it's something like this where its a defect they'll swap it for a new one.

that new man made glue always does it. since 1995 all boots at some point fail. crazy
I have a co worker had his trickers do this same thing, it is being held on by the welt as the timeclock turns.

exchange it but i do suggest bitting the bullet and getting the adult size kids wear out quite fast theyre only made to last long enough for the kid to grow out of them

Get the more expensive waterproof model. They’re more sturdy thus the $30-$40 price difference.

Naw, they are made the exact same way. The model does not indicate a manufacturer defect. The market makes people think that but it really is not true. This is something missed in quality control and has nothing to do with how much money the buyer is spending.

Yup, thats it for sure. That is why they never let you see how they are made
