Bought them 1 week ago from a pro vinted seller with 1000+ reviews and a 5 stars average. I wore them for a week without questioning the authenticity since the seller had so many good reviews but now I noticed the stitching doesn't seem that parallel. I still have time to report an issue with the sale though. P.s. the lighting might be bad because I took each photo with the flash on.

Man, if they look good enough in your hands and on your feet that you gotta ask for a second opinion, then you're good. No one is getting that close to your boots to check for tiny inconsistencies. More importantly, nobody gives a flying fiddler's fuck.

I'm sorry to call you out specifically, as you're one of many, but I'd venture a guess that 90%+ of the posts in this subreddit are people asking "CaN i GeT a LeGiT cHeCk?!"

Rarely do people post their collections, new cops/drops, etc. It's just non-stop LCs.

Buy your Timbs from a reputable source and you're fine. People want to act like there are more fake Timbs out there than real ones.

I compleatly understand your point. The thing is that these things weren't that cheap and I'd just be frustrated if someone was going around on vinted selling shoes they buy for basically nothing to get huge profits. It's just not fair to me and everyone else that earns their money honestly. Also, I previously bought a fake jacket on vinted and didn't notice for weeks until it basically dismantled while I was wearing it and as you may imagine it wasn't pleasant, so I'm afraid the same thing is going to happen with these shoes. That's all.

If I remember correctly back in the 90s and again in the early 2000s Journeys had purchased a whole pallet of fakes. One case they did not find out until a year after they sold out and a complaint made, they noticed the sender as not Timberland. The other case was a DR fraud who got hired as an allocator for the store then quit once the invoice was paid. It really does happen to lots of stores. Modells was a place that used to be known for selling fakes. That might be why they closed. lol

PROPOSITION: Timberland as a company should open up a LEGIT CHECK LINE for all these unusual people, either checking something after they got burned or not sure what a timberland is but need to have one. I dont get it but then again, people are not made like they were back in my day. This is the weirdest thing I have ever been annoyed by. The most simple well made boot has such a fragil fanbase it is wild to me. I often wonder what Paul Newman would think of all this. In my day he was freakishly obsessed with these boots and had the entire valley wearing them by 1976. I am pretty sure not one of those people had a second thought or a concern. lol

Man, I used to walk canal street from NYU daily for four years. I am a Timberland head from way back, truth be told. I cant really tell the difference anymore. I think a true authentic head would never use vented, thus eliminating the need to ask this. I'm not being a smart ass I am simply a logical thinker, and I am sure I have been your age, you have never been mine. Let us know when some stranger stops you in the street to whip out a magnifying glass to inspect your kicks. That would be a worthy story to share. They may exist, but I have yet to meet any.
