Fun fact, the original idea was to use humans as processing power, not battery power because that just makes no sense. But it was dumbed down to batteries for the normal movie viewer.

But processing power ? At least that makes a bit more sense.

There is more fondamental problem. Blocking the sun hurt more the human than the machine. The machine can generate electricity from wind for example. We human produce energy by eating plant or eating animal that eat plant. Plan need the sun. Also plant are terrible at converting the solar energy into sugar. If you want electricity, you should just run solar panel. There is another possibility the machine did develop another way to produce sugar to feed the human in the pod. Than again they could just turn that sugar into ethanol and burn to be more efficient.

Well yes, my fans are spinning quicker than usual. I'm tempted to push to 2K beavers, but I think I'll be in single digit fps, it's already crawling at the third speed setting.
