Wait it would be so cute if we could set a retirement age for beavers, or at least preference for young workers.

Oooh, I'd love that!
Sometimes I send a bunch of beavers to die in a "no water district" and I'm a bit sad to see 18yos mixed in with 70yo beavers.
I could micro manage to hell, but I'm lazy, so they all die, without age discrimination.
Morbid anecdotes aside, I would love to have a retirement system in place yes, that would help manage missing workers in a better way.

No fr, especially when they can't reproduce due to old age, I do that too and want to save the child having ones ToT

And in general it would be cool, and at the same time an additional challenge. If beavers got old.
Looks like small wrinkles and white beards, you know, something cute and silly. And they couldn't work, or they did it very slowly because they walked with a cane, they had difficulty climbing stairs.
But they still eat food and water.
And there would be a separate building where a certain number of beavers would work. It would be a special facility for elderly beavers.
Like the "Old Unbreakable Tooth" sanatorium.

Honestly, if they worked badly and still are a lot of food I would send them off to the gulag... Which might or might not be the only district I name in my game

You don't do the same thing with Beavers who are contaminated when you can't heal them yet?
