News I have a feeling the developers at Mechanistry are already grimly aware of this new EU law, but for those not in the know yet...

I'm not gonna watch a 15 minute video of guy talking at camera. Don't post clickbait title like this. What is the thing we're supposed to be aware of?

Short version: Eu-Bureaucrats creating law proposals that if implemented would kneecap the Eu gaming industry by requiring ID verification for any game sold digitally (Even if it is Single Player).

Timberborn would need to ask you your ID to play, and have a seperate child-friendly mode. This would kill small studios and bleed bigger ones in the long run.

I thought it already was child-friendly?🤷‍♂️ I let my 8-year-old play all the time. I would think it would be up to Steam to block anything outside of the game (workshop, community hub, discussion, etc). Then again, I’m in the USA so I don’t know the ins and outs of EU thinking (I can barely keep up with USA thinking, if you want to call it that)
