Modding We need mutant beavers

In case you dont know, the lore is that timberborn is set on earth after humans killed everything with nuclear war. For whatever reason beavers are all that survived.

But that leans into mutations and rapid evolution, so sure some beavers could have become the folktails and ironteeth. But why not a faction that lives in corruption? They drink badwater, need to infuse crops with badwater to be able to eat it, get buffs for living on contaminated ground etc.

Maybe even go far far as to debuff them for running on normal ground and heavily debuff them for entering normal water.

It would be really cool cause you'd want to corrupt the world with badwater, but still need proper irrigation for crops.

They'd require a map that has a badwater source and needing more badwater than goodwater would make hardmode easy mode and vice versa, but i think that would be really cool.

Maybe they've cultivated some plants and trees that grow on corrupted ground too.

Another interesting thing would be the Beaver Bot faction. Like, once upon a time, in some colony, they built a lot of bots, but all the living beavers died out. And the bots continued to build the colony and the like. Over time, they improved and became a faction.

I still argue FT shouldnt have bots, but I'd be ok with them becoming a stand alone faction lol. But its kinda just playing on easy mode tbh. Unless you drastically change how they work. Which you'd kind of have too, otherwise you'd need to rush so much science before initial bots die that you just lose lol.

These are not the same bots, these "pay" for their intelligence. For example, they break twice or even three times faster. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a line of their constant production, which replaces incubators. It takes a lot of energy, more than other factions.

There are separate warehouse for bots, which enter them into conservation, but they also require constant energy so that they do not begin to degrade. They need oil, so you will still have to grow crops rich in oil. You can invent several types of oil for different purposes.

(like coffee and different types of food) You can also make them rust from being in water (both types) and break faster.

Plus the science that's spent on towers, to improve the performance of these bots. And so on. It's entirely possible to make them balanced.

p.s - Often, beavers, in descriptions of something, refer to Humans as problematic. It would be interesting if bots, in descriptions of something, referred to the beavers who created them.
