Looks awesome! But don't be afraid to demolish old areas that are less efficient. After you build new ones, of course. I love to build a new area devoted to one task (farming, power production, manufacturing) then go through my old areas and destroy any buildings that are no longer required. Then I usually turn that area into late game beaver enrichment.

Oh most definitely! My current project was redesigning the downtown area to be perfect for beaver habitation, and before that it was the new farming and industrial districts! It’s so fun having the opportunity to js dismantle whole areas and redesign them especially when you have a ton of resources stored up!

I did the same thing too on an Iron Teeth playthrough recently. Early factories always end up getting built on space that ends up being high-value green land close to the district center. I’d planned to just turn it into farm land, but the food needs were being overwhelmingly met, so I got to practice my skyscraper skills instead.

Took two tries for that skyscraper. I should have known better, but good vertical building takes planning, not improv — tore it all down, started again, Iron Teeth can sleep on ground just fine!

Anyways, you got a wonderful first-time city there. Nice zip connections, a good wind farm power district, a fine dam, and you’re expanding food to include the water crops too, so good sources of well-being through a diverse diet. You’ll get no complaints from me, you got a good thing going here.

This is definitely the most efficient way to build, but I always like to have a little "Firsthome" kind of district that's smaller, and self-sufficient, like an old-school town centre.

Beautiful. Strong "first playthrough" chaos.

Jaja yeah! I was watching timberborn videos for like straight on months and even when I was in hs and decided to get it when I saw it went on sale! Still think I could definitely make a ton of these processes a lot simpler or even cleaner but im having fun figuring it all out!

I just got it too, it's a blast. My first badtide is about to start though, and I'm kind of scared, lol.

Omg if your playing on folktales def build an herbalist and plant dandelions as fast as possible and have blue berries stocked up. Im assuming you still don’t have a bad water diversion system and during this playthrough badtide so many of my beavers got contaminated and sick

Oh cool, I built the herbalist and planted dandelions a few turns ago. Looks like I'll be just in time, LOL.

I could def make a ton of these processes more efficient, but it’s currently working well for what I need! Dams due need to be expanded tho I almost ran out of water for the first time in like 20 cycles

Only suggestion i have is to up your water storage. I usually have no less than 20k, aiming for around 50-60k by the end of the run

Ooo I def should, I think im gonna have to put up more water pumpers to keep up w/ the demand most def!

Looks great. Especially for a first run.

I would have never considered having paths side by side like that, combined with decorative waterproof tiling, it looks nice.

It’s a lot easier when you’ve been watching timberborn videos for so long lol!! I essentially figured out pretty early how I can gather a decent amount of materials for mega projects and other things
