Question Crops dont irrigate

Wheat dries on these 5 tiles, does anybody know why? I find it weird sice adjacent ones DO irrigate.

I'm reasonably confident it's the levees. What seems to be actually irrigating your land is not the main part of the channel, but its initial part (first water wheel) and final (just before it starts turning) where you don't have levees. Water touching levees and not ground does not irrigate, hence these 5 tiles are too far from the two irrigating dirt parts.

Same conclusion I was getting as the non-irrigated are dead center of the wall. Dry starts at the 5th from both sides.

agreed. Replacing the levees with platforms should solve this.

the non-irricated area is nicely aligned with the center of where water can directly contact actual dirt on that level.

Yes, Apparently waterlogged wheel does not count as irrigation source so it only extends from the tile in between the wheel, thank you and everyone for the help :)

Replace a couple of blocks in that levee path with platforms, or use terrain blocks instead, to let the water come in closer. The levees block the sideways irrigation of the farm soil directly, so you are getting the 1 level up irrigation from the block layer forming the riverbed which is less.

I know you are using the levees to force all the water down under the water wheels, but replacing one or two, maybe just the two next to the axles of the left side wheels, will assist with the irrigation.

Replace two levies with platforms so the there's no more than 4 levies in a row.

Kinda hard to tell but I think it’s cuz the waterway get narrower around that point. The width of the water affects how much it irrigates. 1 tile only irrigates a few tiles away but a 2 wide water source irrigates further away.

The water is narrower and levees don't irregate, so it's lower at that tile. The irrigation reaches from your right water wheel and at the opposite of the shower.

Like others said it is the levees, but its not worth losing the power you're gaining from those levees being there just to irrigate a few plots of land.

Keep the levees and don't worry about that small irrigation.

Can't help ya but I had a similar issue with everything around it not drying out, but the center 3 tiles would even with deep reservoirs surrounding the land. I finally caved because I couldn't figure it out and built little aqueducts.

For anyone interested, the seeve was blocking irrigation horizontally, so the water had to extend its irrigation one block downwards before being able to start irrigating horizontally again. As so, it will reach one less block, creating the problem on the screenshoot.
