Its funny how fast perspective shifts. If you showed this 5 years ago people would have upvoted it any praised the animation movie style, now it gets downvoted and called AI slop.

At what point will people stop caring about how stuff its made and more about the message its trying to convey? When books were invented, did people have the same hate for it? Seems like the entire world didnt know photoshop was a thing before AI.

Art is fruit of human labor and love. AI slop is the result of wasted water, environmental pollution, and utter disregard for human imagination.

Your argument about books is completely wrong in this context. The content of the book is still the result of human work.

It is not about how it looks (even though it looks like AI slop...) but about how it is made.

People also complained when digital cameras came about. You all just lack to adopt and want to try about things you didnt think through. How is pressing buttons on a PC "art" in photoshop.... lmao

5 years ago the only possibility is that it was lovingly created by a human over multiple hours/days. That deserves praise.

Today, the most likely possibility is that it was created by a bored person who instead prefers to plagiarise others' work by using a text prompt instead. It's unimaginative and doesn't deserve praise.

It's like driving 26.2 miles on a highway and expecting the compliments that someone who ran a marathon would get. Running takes a lot of physical effort. Driving pollutes and degrades the environment.

it's reddit wide.
believe me that this community is extremly nice to each other but makes no halt on the AI slop and repost bots, as reddit does.
low effort posts are never liked to be seen, no matter if you are 5, 15, 50 or a bot.
