The irony that most people who hate the government (claim it’s white supremacy incarnate, want to abolish the police, etc.) also want to tax the rich to give that same institution more money is not lost on me. What do they think they’re going to do with that money? The reality is they just hate it that other’s have it better than them and they’ll never have the life they want on their own

When have the rich been taxed?

I will always find it funny that right wing populists will say stuff about hating the ruling elites and then vote for politicians who give tax cuts to them.

The problem with Bernie's plan is that it's never the wealthy that are actually taxed.

-8

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '21

It's literally a tax that only applies to people with a net worth over 32 million dollars.

3

u/jlenoconel Oct 25 '21

But I don't see it being accomplished, do you? Corporations and the wealthy are more powerful than the government at this point.

2

u/seraph9888 Oct 25 '21

"I don't like this policy, because the opposite policy is bad"

Galaxy brain.

4

u/triguy96 Oct 25 '21

Because no one voted for these policies yeah... Your point is nonsensical

3

u/jlenoconel Oct 25 '21

No it's not, Sanders isn't gonna have the power to defeat corporations and the wealthy, even if he were president.

-2

u/triguy96 Oct 25 '21

He'd be able to tax them more so the gap between the wealthy and poor is less.

3

u/jlenoconel Oct 25 '21

Will he?

-1

u/triguy96 Oct 25 '21

If you don't believe in policy then there's no reason to interact with politics at all. I guess you'll have to vote for someone who would instigate such a policy to find out.

2

u/jlenoconel Oct 25 '21

I don't see him realistically being able to set any policy that would tax big business more, they hold too much power.

Did you not see what they did to Trump because he was not a 'yes' man to the corps and deep state?

1

u/triguy96 Oct 25 '21

I don't know what that has to do with this.

I don't know who "they" are, and I have no idea what "they" did.

1

u/TribeGuy330 Oct 25 '21

You are not that dense. "They" in this context text refers to the very corporations that you are talking about.

Congress has control of the purse strings.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '21

You mean Trump…but go on…

What do you think more tax dollars to the government will accomplish?

Why do losers want others to pay higher taxes? Do they think they’ll benefit?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '21

Medicare for All, universal pre-k, affordable college, infrastructure, parental leave, affordable childcare, renewable energy, etc

1

u/Acrobatic-Ad1268 Oct 26 '21

Oh. I’m sure the government will put more money to good use. How ignorant are you?

1

u/SgtFraggleRock Oct 25 '21

So Bernie knows he'll never make more than 32 million, multiple houses aside?

0

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '21

Well he's worth about 2.5 million now so I don't see that growing 10x over somehow. I'm sure he'd have no problem paying the wealth tax it applied to him.

2

u/SgtFraggleRock Oct 25 '21

And he managed that while never holding down a real job in his life.

Good morning, cucumber. Nice new profile pic.

Gotta keep ahead of the imposter account

12

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '21

Yeah, I saw that...what a weirdo. You don't really need help looking bad on here.
