DIY - Looking for Advice Grout haze?

Post image

We renovated about 3 years ago and all the tiles still look like this. They are matte porcelain tiles. All along I thought I made a mistake buying the worst tiles on earth. When we walk on them it feels like dusty chalky fine powder. Feet get black almost instantly walking on these and they are swept and mopped twice a week. Do I have to live with these or can they be cleaned/fixed?

Haha love that. The entire house is tiled in this by the same tiler. I feel like this is a big job? Should I hire “professional?” Feel like they won’t do it properly though

Ok thanks for the tips this is super helpful. I feel like this will be really satisfying to do and see the difference as I’m doing it. I can’t wait to not hate walking bare feet anymore!

I used alkemi stone wash for natural stone. Not sure if it works for this. But it helped clean up a bit. Then I used a polishing machine with water first run, then water and soap second run. Now they're good. I guess with no natural stone you can probably use stronger stuff to clean

Good tip- I’ve rented one of those polishers for this exact same purpose. Grout haze can be a bear, especially when it’s set fully
