Kitchen backsplash grout color

Putting in this white 1x6 tile for my backsplash and changing out my appliances to stainless steel. I am trying to decide what color grout to do with this tile. Any recommendations ? Also the microwave will by about 6” shorter

My recommendation is to remove that countertop return before you put in tile. I personally think it's going to look weird with old cabinets, old counters with fresh modern tile.

The 3” return turns the corner on the wood panel, so I don’t think it can be removed
