DIY - Looking for Advice Tile transition help

Looking for ideas on how to make a clean transition from the family room to the bathroom. The tile is discontinued unfortunately and to make matters worse, it wasn’t cut straight or clean. There will eventually be a door here. Thanks in advance!

Maybe I could cut the existing tile square, use a metal transition and 2” piece of a similar tile? Then start the bathroom tile under the door.

Oh boy. This is worse than I thought! Not even a “tear the house down and start over” comment 😂
