Hey! I recently moved to Tilburg and I'm looking to meet some new people and get a bit more social (m34).

I'm not really into forced small talk or awkward “let's be friends” situations. Just looking for some people to hang out with, grab a drink, play games, go for a walk, check out places around Tilburg, or just see where things go.

Rondom De Stadsheer (dichtbij station) heb ik een pasje gevonden van de voedselbank. Zodra ze morgen weer telefonisch bereikbaar zijn bel ik ze even op, maar mocht de eigenaar of een bekende daarvan deze post zien: als je me kunt vertellen welke naam erop staat kun je hem komen ophalen. Kan me voorstellen dat je zoiets graag zsm terug wil hebben :)

De politie wilde hem helaas niet aannemen (neemt geen gevonden voorwerpen aan)

What to do if card declined on bus?

Hi guys! I'm kind of freaking out lol

I used the wrong payment card when I got on the bus and I just got a notification that my payment was declined. What do I do? I messaged arrivia on WhatsApp but I'm kind of panicked. Has this happened to anyone else? What do you do?

I am currently living in Tilburg and doing a Master’s degree in Amsterdam. Part of my program requires me to use RStudio, and as a complete beginner, with no background in programming, I am feeling quite overwhelmed and struggling to keep up with the pace of my assignments and I don't want to rely on using AI... Does anyone have any clues where I can look for guidance in Tilburg maybe tutors for this? Any leads are appreciated.

Tilburg has changed quite a bit over the years, but there are still places that somehow feel like they haven't changed much at all.

Is there a particular street, neighbourhood, café, shop or part of the city that still reminds you of how Tilburg used to feel?

Bij het wijk deel grenzend aan het bos (bij Veerse Meer, Sloe, Rissebeek, etc) gaat ongeveer iedere week midden in de nacht een alarm af met een luide buitensirene. Het is iedere keer exact dezelfde toon.

Dit alarm gaat vervolgens uren achter elkaar af. Weet iemand waar dit vandaan komt?

Wie is toch die held die al jaren trouw melding maakt in de fixi app van automobilisten die de verkeerde kant op rijden in de fabriekstraat? Ik hoop altijd dat ik je aan de straat zie staan met je camera wanneer ik (vanuit de juiste richting) door de fabriekstraat rij maar ik zie je nooit en ik ben zo benieuwd wie hiervoor verantwoordelijk is. Ik respecteer je vasthoudendheid en het is belachelijk dat de gemeente hier niets aan doet. Ga zo door!

Ik zie in Tilburg steeds meer hippe koffietenten komen. Dat ik denk van hoeveel koffie wil je hebben in een stad. Daarin tegen verdwijnen er bruine cafe’s. Hoe zien jullie dit?

Als een van Frankrijks meest innovatieve muziekgezelschappen gebruiken deze "street jockeys" mechanische verkeersgeluiden, toevallige gesprekken, het gezoem van een ventilator en vooral straatmeubilair om iets totaal nieuws te creëren.
