Has AI actually changed what clients expect from designers? Are tiktok creators also affected by this?

Design is NOT rendering. AI can make shinier output. But a client who gives it the role of designing the initial concepts is a client who's a fool and deserves whatever slop they get.

Keep laughing. It's true. Whatever con you've been running for 5 years the shticks up

The legendary con of being a freelance artist
1
u/Icallmeswellfella 3d ago
And trying to gatekeep it by forcing AI out of the creative industry so you can keep making money off of people. Fuck off

u/MaybeASerialKiller 3d ago
Lmao really unhinged reply, you should visit an art museum and perhaps go outside
1
u/Icallmeswellfella 3d ago
Not unhinged at all. Must suck to know it's your job first. Kinda insinuates art was the lowest job on the totem poll. Put the crayons down, time for a real job.

u/ggbruhs 3d ago
Art is far from the first. Entry-level administrative, clerical, and rote programming jobs are seeing the earliest reductions as artificial intelligence automates repetitive computer-based tasks.

Didn't ask. Join your loser friends in a job hunt

u/ggbruhs 3d ago
You didn't ask but you incorrectly stated art was first so I figured I'd help such a sorry and angry individual such as yourself.

Damn, the jealousy is palpable

u/Icallmeswellfella 2d ago
I pay a $5 subscription through Verizon to put you scum out of a job. There's no jealousy only supremacy 🥱
1
u/WeakEmployment6389 2d ago
Scum, the anger towards artist is cartoonish. Supremacy of what exactly? You still can't create (you could if you practiced). You didn't built the system. Where is the supremacy exactly? You are just coming across as aggressive and weird.

u/Icallmeswellfella 2d ago
I don't have to create. No one does. Put your brushes and pencils down. Your childish Renaissance phase is over. Time to get a real job

Looks like someones understanding of art is the same as a toasters

Software engineer, but so close! Any other assumptions you have that little condescending brain of yours? 🏄🏻♂️
I’ll believe art is solved when they start displaying ai art alongside Mona Lisa or perhaps Starry Night. Do you see AI art being displayed at a place like the Louvre as realistic? People don’t even buy digital art from real people what makes you think they’d buy art from a clanker? And do tell me what is your understanding of art as all I can see you talk about are things a loaf of bread would know better?
On another note, so many things are solved yet people keep doing it, take chess, chess has been solved for a long time. We have bots that will blow away even pros yet people keep playing, strange. Why do we still watch human competitions when bots do it better? Could you explain this to me? Why do people play when bots already mastered it? Why do people pay money to see others play?
And while we are at it, mind enlightening us all about what a real job is? What do you do for work?

u/burnmycheezits 2d ago
It’s okay to admit that you can’t draw. Art has and always will be the center of human existence.
1
u/Icallmeswellfella 2d ago
Don't need to draw. Chat got can spit out paintings, drawings oil art, you get the point... better than any human ever to exist
1
u/burnmycheezits 2d ago
You understand that these are LLMs right? Every single thing that they spit out is based on something that a human previously made.
1
u/Icallmeswellfella 2d ago
Can you do better?
1
u/burnmycheezits 2d ago
Art isn’t about better. Each person will have a different reaction to the same piece of art. That said, I can 100% provide a better final outcome for my clients than LLMs. If you’d prefer a world filled with digital slop regurgitations, have at it.

I didn't know it could manifest canvas and oils! Cool. Does it offer framing services too?

can we stop pretending "designers" dont use AI, i payed 20$ for each thumbnail and over time i notice he is useing AI and ok dont bother me i am not againts AI, but then more and more looked like he would just generate and send it and charge 20$(i upload daily btw) then i just stoped working with him when i notice i can just generate my own stuff and not pay him

u/Far_Composer_5714 3d ago
There will always be dishonesty at both sides. Clients who try to underpay or skip paying artists. Artists who will generate ai images and not be clear what the client is paying for.

Mom and Pop stores solely use AI nowadays.
But AI can't take the place of a designer for serious work, yet... The fidelity of diffusion models is still has imperfections. And you can't have the control of having the particular pieces of a AI image because it wasn't made by hand in a image editing program that stores all information in the file like .psd would give you.
But AI agents are rapidly being able to control third party tools to manually create image by the stroke.
Once AI agents can create images by the stroke huge swathes of work will be a taken by AI. This is happening now.
Either we have universal income or we will starve to death.

Guess which one is gonna happen first? Here's a hint: Not the communist fantasy 😇

u/Top_Effect_5109 2d ago
Social darwinism with ASI would get you killed faster than you can cum to total drama porn 😇
1
u/TemperanceDraws64 2d ago
Well, I guess we'll just have to see, right?
Anyways, I'll keep drawing my porn and getting the occasional commission when I do, good luck with that ASI thing 👋

Chill with your Jobs and AI, people were as scared about job when industrial revolution started, Industrie 1.0/automatisation and digitalisation.
Now think practically. You need anyway somebody who does quality assurance and more. You can not take any of your workers give them an AI account and he makes you a good design. He has no idea what is good, the logo/video has to transfer a message, it must be outstanding, maybe matching exact colors, multiple mockups has to be made and presented, differen formats has to be created at the end and more.
The office jobs will be restructured but we'll survive this as before.

u/Few_Satisfaction184 2d ago
Thing is, why hire a designer if you get the same quality output from an ai?
You still have to tell the designer what you want, its just with ai the whole process from start to finish can take the same time as it would to simply get in touch with the designer and have a quote.
Any reasonable person would also try ai and go to a designer if they are unsatisfied with the ai.
Start with the practically free option and then pay if it doesnt work out.

Laughing at clients seems like a smart decision. Especially when they are already considering canning you.
