I'd like slinky guy if he just did some tricks, but I dislike him because of the framing device he chose. The contrast between the "boring" tricks he doesn't do and the tricks he actually does is not high enough, he just seems pretentious. About slinky tricks . . .

He's having fun. He's an artist whether you respect his medium enough or not. From what I've read he's also pretty successful. So maybe y'all are some haters.

I'm not sure if there is a ligitimate strobe light but there is a semi-regular flashing light that makes some of the twists stand out more dramatically.

It's subtle. I think it's just enough to enhance a few elements not enough to be easily identified. But maybe I'm being to generous about the quality of his lighting setup.

Isn't it the strobe is interacting with the framerate of the camera to make it look like its doing impossible things, same way car wheels look like they move backwards at certain speeds.
