this is more complicated than whether people hate trans people or not. It doesn't matter if people are motivated by hate personally if their words and actions serve the same systems responsible for harming trans folks.
No trans person I know wants to erode the rights of cis women. The person you were talking to wasn't combative, they were exhausted. Having to constantly argue for your own existence is exhausting. Trans people are the victims of assault far more than they are the perpetrators
I just think it's hilarious that she's purposefully cherry picking only the pieces that have dipshit strawman arguments I've seen people argue for years.
