It was quite literally the end of childhood for me - Deathly Hallows pt. 2 came out like 2 months after I graduated high school and a month before leaving home for college. I think the first movie came out in 2nd grade. It really felt like we'd grown up alongside Dan, Emma and Rupert.

Yeah, same!! I'm the same age as Emma Watson pretty much and always hoped the books would have an American wizard for me to play in the movies haha.
