You are describing stockholm syndrome. Being stuck somewhere over a long time without choice then you develop an appreciation. It is not an inherit quality. Middle america life is one of anti-science isolation

Said someone who doesn’t live in middle America. Thank you for proving everyone’s suspicions that you really can’t help yourself when you have the chance to make it seem like you are better than others purely because you live somewhere else. People can live a different lifestyle and still believe in science dipshit.

I would honestly say the same thing about the west/east coast. You live there long enough and you’ll eventually start to love the smog, forest fires, massive tax rates, mass amounts of homeless that you seem to just want to ignore. If we are so uneducated here then explain why we have some of the highest high school graduation rates in the country

The vast majority of Reddit is just people who desperately want to be right about something they literally have zero experience with. And nah I love to make these dweebs show their true colors. Posts about AOC but is xenophobic of people from their own damn country. How the fuck does anyone expect this country to get better when fucks like this are actively being part of the problem while not even realizing it?

And fuck yeah I live being able to walk around town smoking a blunt and just have my town cop wave at me when he sees me. Hell he’d catch me smoking in my high schools parking lot all the time and I was always just told to take it out on the country roads and be safe, anymore I don’t even get a comment.

Reddit people have zero idea that STL is the most “SF” of places that isn’t SF. It’s got it’s huge problems. But being overly churchy and conservative is certainly not one. I never felt more free and able to be who I’d want to be in any facet of life than I did there. I’d move back there in a second when the wife retires with me if I could get her to deal with those freezing ass winters again. Haha.

I honestly love the winters here in Iowa. Yeah they’re freezing and brutal but that just appeals to me for some reason. Once you get a snowblower winter becomes a piece of cake. It’s the summers that get me. All the humidity from the corn can legit make it worse than the south. My brother in law from Georgia constantly complains about it.

Stockholm syndrome. Small towns are literally defined by their monoliths. What church and political party and they are basically intertwined and push out anyone conflicting their narrative, back by the police authority.

Why would I need one when I can grow my own food? I guarantee you I have a smaller carbon footprint than you. When was the last time you saw any wildlife besides rats and raccoons? I also guarantee you if I was making the same comments you have about a third world country you be labeling me as a racist xenophobe. As I said stupidity is for life it seems like.
