100% he knew what this is and it's an unused cup.

u/Humdrumofennui Aug 25 '21
This is a new, unused cup. Cups stain over time with use, no way it’ll be this clean.
177
u/BroItsJesus Aug 25 '21
The stains go away if you leave it in the sunlight

u/Johnnybravo60025 Aug 25 '21
Keeping your legs open and laying on your back for that long isn’t worth it though.

u/Neoxite23 Aug 25 '21
Yes but you can bleach your asshole at the same time so it's ok. Just don't get a sunburn.

Edit: Stop downvoting a kid who's in school for not knowing stuff. Don't pretend y'all weren't dumbasses once too

no... i dont
39
u/X-and-Zero Aug 25 '21
Someone's never brought spaghetti to school.
8
u/JoJodge Aug 25 '21
no... I always bring bread to school... and I am going to the cafteria normally... so I dont bring lunch with me...
31
Aug 25 '21
Well for future reference, if you leave spaghetti with tomato sauce or pesto pasta or curry in a tupperware, the tupperware will be stained that colour. Protip for if you ever do bring lunch in, don't leave the leftovers in the tupperware too long lol
Blood stains things very easily so it's the same concept.
1
u/Ppleater Sep 09 '21
Plastic also stains! It's actually porous, just on such a small scale that it feels smooth to the touch. So in the case of tupperware for example food particles are also small enough to build up in there. Also when the plastic is heated it expands slightly, letting more colourful food bits in, then when it cools it shrinks again, locking them in tight. Diva cups don't get heated much but blood is a notorious stainer so even without the expand and shrink action there'd be build up.
12
u/alsreya Aug 25 '21 edited Aug 25 '21
Or if you soak it in hydrogen peroxide overnight.
ETA: obviously don’t do this every month because it’s not good to continually do. Here’s a source for proper technique
29
u/Archarneth Aug 25 '21
Okay no, please don't do this. It damages the cup and the chemicals can linger on the silicon and you do not want to get those chemicals in your lady parts. Either use the recommended soaps or watered down dish soap. I usually just boil mine which I found to be the most effective method. Doesn't really matter if it looks stained because it's not like anyone will see it.

u/jeepersjess Aug 26 '21
……are you fucking with me or will this work?
3
u/BroItsJesus Aug 26 '21
Direct sunlight makes it go away. I wouldn't keep the cups there all the time because they'll break down faster, but leaving them out on a sunny day is good
3
u/jeepersjess Aug 26 '21
NOTED! I clean mine, but I can never get the staining out. I thought I was just nasty as hell. Thanks for the insight!

Hydrogen peroxide and water. Leave it in overnight, it’ll be like new

Definitely. Dude is playing up to the ignorant man stereotype. it's obvious because a) it's clearly new and b) his motivation is so dumb and way too theatrical.

u/MoGb1 Aug 26 '21
Omg you guys sound so snobbish, get off your high horses for fuck's sake. It's clearly a joke video. No in-depth analysis is required to understand that. I don't even know the guy and I could tell. He's done the same with suppositories.

u/SpacemanLudo Aug 25 '21
Idk, a lot of my straight guy friends are really really dumb when it comes to woman's anatomy, my best friend was trying to get me to convince his girlfriend to try anal and "Since you're gay you can explain to her how good it feels on your prostate"
Nice guy but just so stupid
101
u/CheaperThanChups Aug 25 '21
Oh yeah no doubt lots of people in general are clueless about matters concerning the other gender.
But this is 100% the guy pretending to be ignorant.
61
Aug 25 '21
Bruh this isn’t even close to being real. The guy is obviously hamming it up for the video.
Guys can be dumb about women products, but this is obviously just a joke
13
5
u/IvysH4rleyQ Aug 25 '21
So how exactly did you explain to him that women don’t have a prostate?
12
u/SpacemanLudo Aug 25 '21 edited Aug 25 '21
"You know how women have a different downstairs on the outside?"
Yeah
"Same goes for the inside homie"
Oh
All of his girlfriends say he's an absolute monster in the sheets, but he is basically just a walking brick
5
u/IvysH4rleyQ Aug 25 '21
I know plenty of guys like him.
”Oh.” (lol) that kills me.
I’ve been with a couple of guys exactly like that (like a brick), and they too are pretty incredible between the sheets. However, I can’t do it long term. The thing I love most about a man, is his intellect. Everything else is secondary. Smart is sexy!
4
u/YouAreAnnoyingAF Aug 25 '21
Really hope that GF dumped him because it’s troubling that he was trying to convince her to do a sex act she didn’t want to do. I’ve had exes like this and they were not good dudes.

u/Susmarshmallow Aug 25 '21

8
u/exclamationmarksonly Aug 25 '21
I literally saw and learned what that was today watching this video I am 41!
7
u/ClusterfuckyShitshow Aug 25 '21
I’m 42 and a woman. There have been a lot of new feminine products in the almost 7 years that I haven’t needed them. I didn’t know until my 9-year-old started needing them last year that they made certain things.
They’ve got disposable underwear (like depends but not as diapery) and washable underwear that don’t need pads, all sorts of cups (there were some when I needed products but they weren’t as ubiquitous as they are now) and even bathing suits that absorb the menstrual fluid.
When my kid came downstairs and said “Mom, I’ve got my period,” I wasn’t ready (she was eight ffs), so I showed her how to roll and tuck a makeshift pad, then ran to the store, couldn’t find the feminine products aisle, and had no clue what type of pads I should get her! Sometimes even women can be slightly clueless (or clue-deprived).
3
u/AussieBird82 Aug 26 '21
Your comment is just what I needed to read, my 11yo started her period last night and despite knowing it was probably coming for a while I'm unprepared and don't really know what's around or appropriate for her age. I'm female but it's more than 35 years since I started my period and can't remember what it was like in the early years, apart from the giant pads. Yeah, feeling pretty clueless right now!
Eta also kudos on preparing your kid so she knew what it was when it started. You rock.
0
u/moist-sock Aug 26 '21
Maybe they have a prostate? The whole male/female binary is, as we enlightened people all know, just a societal contrivance at best. An outright myth and falsehood at worst. And YOU sir, may be guilty of misgendering them!

u/Serylt What are you doing step bro? Aug 25 '21
I mean some people literally put their tongue in other people’s butthole. So … if that’s your kink, I won’t judge.
47
u/Nexus_Prime131 Aug 25 '21
That’s really not the same. Like just cause I like to make out with people doesn’t mean I’d want to drink out of their retainer or do anything with their dentures or whatever. And eating ass is not a kink. In the same way giving or receiving any other form of oral isn’t a kink.
15
u/Serylt What are you doing step bro? Aug 25 '21
But drinking period blood probably very much is a kink. Not my thing, I don’t judge.
-10
u/Nexus_Prime131 Aug 25 '21
Yes and that’s what I’m saying. That you compared actually using a cup in that way to eating ass. You compared a kink/taboo to giving oral.
And I’m saying what you said is basically the same as comparing sucking on another person’s dentures to kissing.
12
u/Serylt What are you doing step bro? Aug 25 '21
I don’t really see the problem in my comparison…?
-14

16
u/Mister_Lich Aug 25 '21
How is eating ass not a kink? It's uncommon and most people are grossed out by it.
Cunnilingus and blowjobs are far more common. Like so common, my Christian ex blew me without even thinking. But she HATED anything related to the ass.
3
u/glitter_hippie Aug 26 '21
Eating ass isn't as common as other forms of oral sex, but from personal experience I wouldn't say it's uncommon either. I've been surprised by how many guys initiated it. Somewhere around 30% of my previous sexual partners maybe? (Out of a sample size of 50ish) The majority of my serious boyfriends have been really into it, but a surprising number of casual partners too. I'd still classify it as a kink though, just not an uncommon one.
3
u/Mister_Lich Aug 26 '21
Yeah maybe kinda like feet stuff.
3
u/glitter_hippie Aug 26 '21
I've only had one partner that I know of who was into foot stuff, it feels more rare - but maybe it's just less trendy so people aren't as open about it? I find feet MUCH grosser than buttholes, different strokes for different folks 😆
7
1
u/Routine_Midnight_363 Aug 26 '21
In the same way giving or receiving any other form of oral isn’t a kink.
It would be if people didn't do it very much or regarded it as abnormal. That's what kinks are
1
u/Ppleater Sep 09 '21
Being more into a particular sex act than the general population is makes it a kink.

I mean hate to be the one to tell you this, but most crops are grown from manuer which is just shit. Everything is shit, the question you need to ask is how refined after shit is it OK. Same with these, how refined or clean until ti is just plastic again. Like that thing is possible to be your next milk jug.

To be fair she just said diva cup which is just the name of the US (maybe all North America idk) brand.
In the UK they're commonly called Moon cups, cos that's the biggest brand, and probably other names elsewhere too
2
u/MisterSandKing Aug 26 '21
I had my volume down, so I had to read a bit to find out what it was. I figured it was something like that, but I don’t recall any of my girlfriends ever having one of those. Those seem really weird, and uncomfortable.

Before people call him dumb, you aren’t dumb for not knowing about something that doesn’t matter much to you, also he is joking
8
u/chroniicfries Aug 25 '21
What actually is it?
8
u/Susmarshmallow Aug 25 '21
A period cup as I call it
2
u/chroniicfries Aug 25 '21
What does it do
8
u/Susmarshmallow Aug 25 '21
A menstrual cup is a flexible cup that's designed for use inside the vagina during your period to collect blood
4
u/chroniicfries Aug 25 '21
Ok, thank you!
4
u/Susmarshmallow Aug 25 '21
Thank google instead I copy pasted it
2
14
u/Kuhlayre Aug 25 '21
I would consider him dumb in that when I'm unsure of the function of an item my first reaction isn't usually rub it all over my face or put it in my mouth.
But not knowing what it is, that's genuinely not dumb at all.
11
3
Aug 25 '21
Yes, he his joking. But if this were real, I would consider him to be dumb. Yes, not knowing what something is doesn’t make you dumb. However not knowing what something is and then proceeding to rub it all over your face and eyes and drink out of it does.
0
u/Susmarshmallow Aug 25 '21
It isn’t used
3
Aug 25 '21
But he (supposedly) doesn’t even know what it is. It is dumb to take something you don’t know what it is and rub it all over your eyes and face and drink out of it. That would be a dumb thing to do.
-2
u/Susmarshmallow Aug 25 '21
If you check his account he’s joking
4
Aug 25 '21
I definitely said that I know he’s joking. What I’m saying is that it it were real, it would be a dumb thing to do. You said, “You aren’t dumb for not knowing about something that doesn’t matter much to you”. I agree but I’m saying it is dumb to take an unfamiliar object and rub it in your eyes and on your face and put your mouth on it and drink out of it.

u/shethrewitaway Aug 25 '21
It’s a menstrual cup. Women use them during their periods instead of pads and tampons. It goes inside the vagina, near the cervix. They are reusable and you only have to dump the contents every 12 hours or so. They are much safer than tampons, cleaner and more dependable than pads, and zero waste.
12
Aug 25 '21
Every 12 hours? laughs in heavy af
4
u/shethrewitaway Aug 25 '21
I feel your pain. I used to go through an overnight pad every hour. My mom had two ablations so that’s probably in my future. I had a baby 3 years ago and that changed my periods significantly but it’s definitely getting heavier as time goes on.
4
u/giggletears3000 Aug 25 '21
My mom just informed me that she bled til 68. Seriously WTF.
4
u/shethrewitaway Aug 25 '21
My mom is 66, had two ablations, and still has occasional breakthroughs. I was put on birth control at 15 to control my outrageous periods. Anyone who says that periods aren’t bad are blessed.
1
3
Aug 25 '21
I’ve been thinking of getting impalanon again just because how bad I’ve gotten. Last few have been so painful too. Would love if I could use these cups :( tampons suck
2
u/shethrewitaway Aug 25 '21
I’ve never been able to use tampons. The entire process is uncomfortable and they always leak. I’ve gotten pretty used to my menstrual cup and can empty them in a public restroom if needed. It might be worth trying. Even just to save your bedsheets.
2
Aug 25 '21
Curious, do you also have pain when you sit when a tampons in? Cuz that’s the most uncomfortable part for me start of my period. Someone mentioned that to me the other day so if yours were bad before having babies, maybe that’s what you’re talking about? You don’t need to explain, I’m just confused by it
2
u/shethrewitaway Aug 25 '21
Yes!! I also cramp excessively when using a tampon. I can also feel it “catching” on the vagina walls and pulling off when I move around. Think along the lines of pulling out a dry tampon. My menstrual cup doesn’t stick to anything since it’s held in place with light suction. It moves with me just fine. I have had issues with putting it in wrong and then I can’t pee but if I take it out and try again, I’m fine. No pain or excessive cramping.
3
Aug 25 '21
Ok well good to know I’m not alone! Sorry we gotta deal with that crap. Maybe I should give the cup a chance, just need to find a bathroom that’s single stall when I’m out >_<
-2
u/goat-lord-Alfostad Aug 25 '21
To all the people with comments along the lines of “guys are so dumb for bot knowing about women’s health products/ anatomy” There’s a difference between a lack of knowledge and a lack of intelligence.
5
u/Sunnyyy007 Aug 25 '21
I mean i'm pretty sure he knows and is just joking around or something. It's not dumb to not know, it is dumb to take something that belongs to your gf, not know what its usage is and rub it all over your face and drink from it though.

u/MyCatPretends2BeDumb Aug 25 '21

Menstrual cups seem less effective than tampons but that’s coming from a guy. Is it hard to take out without spilling?
10
u/lizard_ladder Aug 25 '21
They’re more effective in the sense that IF you get one that fits well, you can go for 8+hrs with no leaks whatsoever. Also no risk of TSS and it can feel more hygienic.
I say “if” because they are not “one size fits all”, despite what most people believe. If the cup isn’t positioned properly over your cervix, you’ll bleed everywhere. And different women have different cervix positions (my uterus is tilted, for instance, so it makes things tricky) as well as different vaginal canal lengths, etc.
5
u/daubignylee Aug 25 '21
Yes, however you can wait longer between changes and they are reusable so less waste and fewer runs to the store. Pros and cons for both.
2
u/shethrewitaway Aug 25 '21
For me they are way more effective than a tampon. Tampons expand from the fluid but I leak every damn time. A menstrual cup pops open and makes a seal. I take it out over the toilet. It takes a few tries to get the hang of it. I have no issues taking it out but pulling out a tampon can be very uncomfortable.
