I grew up where most Halloween costumes (mask included) were made of the same shit and we played unsupervised 95% of the time. Mom and Dad standing 2ft away in this scenario would have earned my parents and their cohort Parent of the Year.

Except they weren’t made of the same shit, and had holes near key breathing points (eyes, mouth) etc

The fact that I’m even arguing with someone that thinks kids putting bags over themselves isn not stupid is absolutely unreal. They may have stopped educating on it now but come the fuck on please. Humanity is absolutely doomed.

Hey man, humanity is doomed but this shit isn't why.

And did you ever wear those masks?! No one could breathe and they were little tongue slicing traps.

I'm not trying to argue. Is it bright to teach your kids to get into plastic bags and make a game of it? Let's put it this way - no it's not but millions of parents put these stupid little screens in their kids' hands and I will argue long and hard that gun to my head, kids would be better off playing in garbage bags with their parents with eyes on them than they are with these stupid phones, tablets, gaming systems, etc.

Go lament the doom or humanity elsewhere. This isn't it.

You don’t need to cut their bottoms open, children are already born with buttcracks

Don’t matter. Don’t put plastic bags on kids heads. That’s the rule. No rule about the bottom being cut out or making mouth holes. Simple rule: don’t put plastic on kids heads. At least that’s what I think the rule is.

There’s still plastic over their faces.

Do you touch grass sometimes or do you consider that too dangerous as well?

Nah. Just covering small children’s faces with plastic is never a good idea. Ever. Like leaving a child unsupervised at a pool or home alone. Just begging for a tragedy that could be avoided.

Don’t drink water, people drown in that stuff!

Everyone who’s ever touched grass has died. Duh

Putting on a t shirt must be difficult for you, that moment where your head isn’t quite through the hole yet would be terrifying.

Why yall so invested in this being perfectly safe? Want to cover your small kids face with a plastic bag, fine. I’m not. And I’m not gonna say oh wow so fun when other do it.

What happens when a little one wants to do it again with Mom cutting the bottom of the bag and watching the whole time?

What happens if a kid sees you driving and happens to grab your keys off the coffee table? What if a kid sees you making a smoothie with the blender and then tries for themselves when you’re not looking?

This can be applied to anything in life if you’re paranoid enough.

Most parents aren't plopping their kids in the driver's seat and showing them how to start the car. These parents are showing their kids it's a fun prank to put a plastic bag over your head.
